Where to find anti-chafing stuff?

The active ingredient in Body Glide is zinc oxide 1%, which is a barrier form of sunscreen (as opposed to an absorptive form). Body glide is a solid, so I would think that you would have a better time using a solid sunscreen with zinc oxide like Neutragena pure and baby.

The beauty of the Body Glide product is that it isn't absorbed into your skin, but somehow stays in place and doesn't rub off with friction. All deodorant that I have tried(as deodorant) rubs off on my clothing. I don't see how that would be as effective as an anti-chaffing product.

Sometimes, you just have to bite the bullet and get the product. Our Body Glide is a 0.45 oz container. It traveled easily into the parks, but we didn't even have to reapply, but it sure was nice to know we had it, just incase. We bought it two years ago just for our trips to Disney (3 now). We are still using the same one. Sorry if TMI, but it is worth the money, IMO.

You need a specialty store or sporting goods store. FWIW stick deoderant, or Monistat gel works the same and is ALOT CHEAPER

I swear by Monistat gel. Found out about it on the Dis and even my Dermitologist recommends it!!Use it every day here in OK and even when it is 105 outside, it works!

Oh and on a related topic, if you do happen to get some chafing, best stuff I have found to use is a cream called Udder Balm. Stupidly wore a new pair of shorts for a race once and man alive, it wasn't fun for the next few days!!! But put Udder Balm on the chafed area and it really helps!!! The stuff is also really great for other things, like wind burn, and inexpensive to boot!

I used Body Glide on my feet in June and did not get blisters for the first time! I picked it up and Sun & Ski Sports. :thumbsup2

Monistat has anti-chafing gel. It is incredible and I used to use it constantly at WDW (I don't need it much anymore). You can get it at Target.

My feet are different though. I have never used the gel on them, but suppose you could. I always have used stick deoderant. I put it on in the morning before I hit the parks and reapply it during an afternoon break or after the rain, swimming, etc. I haven't had probs in years as a result of this trick.

I'm with SpecialK on this one. I bought it for my last trip at my local Dick's sporting goods in hopes that it would prevent thigh chafing after walking 9 miles a day. I ended up washing it off after about an hour. It just made my legs stick even more!! I haven't tried the monistat stuff that was mentioned, but I do know they have it widely available at drug stores and target/walmart type stores. I'm gonna stick to talcum powder for now since it stays dry AND smooth. My husband swears by gold bond powder!
