We are DVC members. Our December trip WAS all set. Arrive Dec 1st, 2bdr OKW. Depart Dec 6th. My Dh informs me tonight that he needs to be in Dallas, Texas on Dec 6th. I don't enjoy flying but I do it. However, I would have to fly home on the 6th with just me and the kids while he goes to Dallas. So, he tells me to stay and he will fly back to MCO on Dec 8th and we will all go home together on Dec 9th! What a guy!! Now I need to find a place for the kids and I to stay. We don't want to use any more points. We haven't stayed in a non DVC resort in years. My kids are 7 and 5. We will have a rental car.

I am leaning towards the following:

YC/BC ....that way we can walk/boat to Epcot and MGM. We can hang out on the Boardwalk in the evening.

Poly.....We would have the monarail for easy access.

AKL......It might be cool to see the animals.

I have to admit, I am a tad bit nervous about being in a hotel without Dh. I am not paranoid! I just haven't done that before. So, any ideas on where the kids and I would be most comfortable? I appreciate any feedback. Thanks!!

Lisa

My vote would go with the YC. SAB is wonderful, and your children will enjoy it. Epcot and MGM are a quick walk or boatride away, and you are also a stone's throw from the Boardwalk!:):D:)

If I had to pick one, I would choose AKL, but that is because I have become obsessed with it lately! LOL...I love that place!! :) Have a great time no matter where you stay!! :)

I would choose the YC, as well. Nice and close to 2 parks, and they have that wonderful pool setup. How wonderful of your husband to offer, and you and the kids get a longer vacation. I take my DD into the parks by myself all of the time, and have no problems with it. You will be fine. Relax and enjoy your bonus days!

I have to vote for the Poly. It is great for kids your childrens age. You will have easy access to MK (who wants to drive on vacation?), which at that age is where they will want to go, plus there is the Neverland Club which will help give you a break. It is very relaxing and the kids will love the beach. Go for it.
