Where is the best place to stay with little ones

We looking to rent from a DVC owner at WDW in March (5th to 8th) prior to our cruise and I wanted to get some feedback from you as to which resorts you feel are the best if you have small children?

So far from my research BCV and OKW seem to have what we're looking for.

We also need to have kitchen facilities as my DS cannot comsume gluten or dairy which makes dining out virtually impossible.

We love the pools, playgrounds etc. All the usual kid stuff.
I'm a runner and DH and I both play tennis so OKW seemed great in that regard.

The other million dollar question is....which resort would be best with small children if it is raining??? I know this sounds kind of silly but when we went to WDW last year we stayed at a value resort and were blessed with great weather. It dawned on us while there that if it rained there was only an arcade to go to and other than that you would be stuck in your room (not fun with little ones).

Can anyone give me any insight. I know you all are the experts!

For your family, I think OKW would be an excellent choice, and there will be a better chance of finding a ressie there at this late date for your proposed dates. March is a busy time to book, so BCV could be a problem for a 1 or 2 bedroom at this point. The extra room in an OKW 2 bedroom villa is going to fit your needs better too.

You don't say how young your children are, but there is a great play area for the wading pool set, and a great sand castle slide for a little bit older. There are also several tennis courts, a rather small excersise room, and small arcade. OKW also does a great job with kids programs. There are always good programs throughout the week for them. Mostly, the size of the villa and porch are going to be great for your needs, and there is a lot more running area for those who like to do that everyday. I always see lots of joggers at OKW.

My husband and I always say that when we have a family of our own we'll probably stay at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge for its proximity to the Magic Kingdom.

But really all the resorts are very nice for kids. Saratoga resort has adorable playground areas.

I just want to mention that Disney is very good at dealing with food allergies and this is the one place that you'll be able to enjoy dining out safely. They just need advanced notice.

As far as resorts for kids, they're all wonderful. The one advantage that I can think of for BWV is if it is storming, you can wander a bit and be inside. At SSR we did get "stuck" in our room during storms because of the condo set up, couldn't get anywhere without getting wet. Other than that, we love SSR and my kids had a great time exploring there.
