Astros on TV; football game on internet; DH watching/listening to volleyball game on HIS computer...! Good on all fronts though; Astros up 4-1 in the 5th and football team ahead 48-0 beginning 4th quarter! This crop should make you thing a LITTLE more ...

...and now Astros up 5-1; football team 56-0

OOPS..."dang it I should have had that"! The very next play... "You're not going to fool me AGAIN"!...Got that sucker :

Started out as I expected, playing a 5A school in a practice game finding ourselves behind 2-12 and thinking it's going to be a long match! Time out and "come to Jesus" meeting with coach on the sidelines ... then on to win first game 25-23. Diane...a LOT of "COME ON RICKY BOBBY" during those first 3-4 minutes!

Second game was a 25-11 win and 3rd game 25-19...."THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT"!

Me too! This was the first game and they were LOST ! Two timeouts and a couple of lectures and they FINALLY got their act together. She was DETERMINED not to let that ball drop that time! I think the other team was more than a little surprised when they got back in the game like they did. They "scratched and clawed" to catch up; some LONG volleys but they did NOT want to do "horses" tomorrow morning at practice!

We walked out of the gym, got in the car and temperature gauge had 54 degrees! Told DH "no wonder I feel cold!" Listening to the football game was difficult; the announcers were sitting in the stands and the north wind was STRONG....had a hard time hearing announcers over the wind blowing! They didn't even do a "game wrap up" ; one of they just said, "I'm COLD...the Brahmas won...GOOD NIGHT!" There were games in the Panhandle of Texas tonight with temperatures in the 20's!

There are a lot of dark ride shots I keep trying to get but I know I'll never get anything like this until I buy a lens with a lower F stop. But, I'm loving the telephoto lens Daphne lent me and I think I'd rather have a telephoto lens.

My husband and I just got back home from a cold morning at Holiday World. It was 39 degrees all morning and we were silly enough to get on roller coasters. Sure feels good in my bed right now, but my legs are still a little numb.

We had a low of 46 this morning...that's "chilly" for us here in Texas, especially in October. Yes...a roller coaster and 39 degrees don't mix! I know exactly what you mean about the "numb legs" though. I did put my shorts away when we got home last night and switched to sweats but looked forward all evening to crawling in bed and cranking that temperature of the mattress UP. Slept like a baby....
