I currently live in Louisville, KY. Holiday World is about an hour west of us here. It got cold on us quite quickly.

Don't think we've ever had anyone on here from KY. Beautiful state!

GREAT "sports day" yesterday; today was the "pits". Aggies lost but Redstorm LOVED the experience...I think she may be "hooked" on A&M University. And the Astros BOMBED in the game to tonight. Hope tomorrow is a better day...!

Only an hour away ...would be PERFECT! And...she'd have 2 cousins living in College Station area, one a student at the George Bush School of Diplomats and another in commercial real estate with an attorney wife (graduate of A & M and ran track while a student there). We drive longer to volleyball and soccer games so we could easily go visit and take her to dinner once or twice a week. Another "small world" story about Texas A&M and Bellville...when the university was founded in 1876 the final location site was between College Station and Bellville. Had College Station NOT been chosen, we'd be living in a "college town" .

First "snow day" today. Happy Monday Not a snow day but a lot of wind and rain. Power outages everywhere and trees down. Luckily we have power for now.

I spent some time yesterday putting my winter tires on my car.

and for those who don't know the joy of owning two sets of tires and rims for your car you are missing out lol

up here in the winter we have to put special tires on our cars just so we can get out of the drive way some days lol

most of the time I put my winter tires on and I don't even have to use them in the snow. but its snowed a lot last year and they say this year will be the same so I did it just to be safe.

even thou if it snows more the 3" I cant drive my car because its too low anyways I become my own snow plow

Poor Jeff...but you LOVE "playing" with your car...and washing it in the rain/snow! I DO "feel" for you though; even in Texas we have to do a few things to "winterize". My biggest "pain in the backside" is moving my tropical plants in the garage and covering those that stay out when it DOES freeze here. That goes on all winter since some nights give us freezing temperatures and then we're back in the 50's/60's the next day. At least it's done and now you just get to relax and enjoy the winter.

Oh my goodness! Power outages ALREADY? Must be a "wet snow", weighing the tree limbs down, right? It's NICE here...cool and sunny but rain moving in later today for tomorrow and Wednesday.

That is always a big debate for me. I have all season tires. I used to keep a set of snow tires. What a bother that is! But, my road is always plowed and I do not have to drive if I don't want to.

Of course having said that.... This Thursday I have to go to town for a lesson, brass ensemble and a concert at the HS. It will be raining when I go in and will probably be snowing on my way home
