"Small town life" is nice ...got this in the mail today...

Also had my "summer reading by the pool" book in the mail. Any of you read Jeff Dixon's "Kingdom" books? This is his 4th in the series; I label them Fantasy/Fact/Fiction/Adventure . Full of MK facts and a fun read!

Our "super runner" Ed is well on his way to that Dopey Marathon medal ! He's completed 3 of the 4 runs with the "big one" tomorrow! Good luck ED!

This is a different series by Jeff Dixon; the first one is The Key to the Kingdom and was published in 2010. The Kingdom Keepers series is written by Ridley Pearson. I read those also; DGD's and I read and discuss them together. Redstorm would always finish her reading in 3 DAYS; it takes me MONTHS since I don't have a whole lot of reading time. The Princess is easier to "read with"; she's not a huge reader and we have to encourage her more. Yes, the Kingdom Keepers is more of a 'Tween series but still enjoy the fantasy in them . The back of the book describes Jeff Dixon as a "storyteller" and continues..."Each week he researches ancient manuscripts and examines them for content, meaning and understand and describes his findings, using illustrations, to a crowd of listeners at Covenant Community Church in Central Florida. Some people might call this preaching (but that can sound so boring!) Jeff brings an intensity and passion to communicating that incorporates his early years in Orlando, working at Disney World; his educational trek that landed him at Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas; and the latitudinal and longitudinal journey ministering in churches trying to impact the world. Jeff loves living in the heart of Florida with his family, his friends, and his annual pass to Walt Disney World." In the series, he is "Grayson Hawkes" and it begins with him learning how imaginative and elaborate WDW is when he accepts an invitation that lands him in a world he never knew existed. He navigates through the kingdom where knowledge of seemingly unimportant Disney facts, and some divine help, are the only way he can discover the answers and get out. I've learned some quite interesting facts. Fun reads.

Thanks Pollyanna; always fun for us to decorate at Christmas. Last year we earned 1st place but was glad to hear this year that the Chamber of Commerce was changing from the "1st~2nd~3rd Place" to various awards. SO many nicely decorated houses in Bellville, we always felt more people should be "recognized". Our Disney theme is always popular, especially with the kids. We've had SO many children tell us "thank you for the lights" But, alas, today is the day it all starts coming down !

Keep thinking Pollyanna and here's a clue from Denise's question...it's from the Christmas parade and is from a movie...but not FROZEN.

Hi y'all. Dopey Challenge update. Got here Wednesday and help my brother set his camper up. Then we went over to ESPN. to get the runner package which was the runner shirts and bibs.

Thursday morning was very cold to run in. At 3am on the way to the corrals the truck had it at 29. My Corral went off at 6 a.m. so it did drop another couple of degrees.


So while waiting for the start got my pic with Dopey.



Ran thru Epcot and then picked up finisher medal
