Hi y'all. Dopey Challenge update. Got here Wednesday and help my brother set his camper up. Then we went over to ESPN. to get the runner package which was the runner shirts and bibs.

Thursday morning was very cold to run in. At 3am on the way to the corrals the truck had it at 29. My Corral went off at 6 a.m. so it did drop another couple of degrees.

Ran thru Epcot and then picked up finisher medal

That little paddle that says I DID IT...should also have "...and I froze my booty off"! ! That was a cold beginning and if it was anything like it was here on Thursday, it didn't warm up a whole lot! I'll bet this morning felt like a "heat wave"!

PS...the notice that you'd started the run came to my phone at 5:30ish AM and I'd forgotten to silence my phone! DH rolled over and asked, "Who in the *&$#@&^% hell is texting you at 5:30 AM"!

That's beautiful! And if I understood you correctly, you get one for each day plus one for doing Thurs and Friday and another one for doing all 4 days?

I just read that it could hit -100 in New Hampshire this evening!!! That's on Mt. Washington. But I think it looks like Diane had -14 last night? Pembroke? Has Diane been on today? I hope she hasn't lost power....

Meanwhile I got up to 35 today! Stuff was melting!

Yes, Pembroke is correct. "Real feel" temp right now is -30 . DANG that's cold! Hope she didn't loose power either since she hasn't visited us today. Hard to imagine temperatures THAT cold! We warmed up nicely today too. Got a good start on dismantling the outdoor decorations; didn't even need my jacket in early afternoon. Really pretty morning/afternoon but a little cloud cover now with possible small amount of rain this evening. 35 is a real "heat wave" for you but what a mess with everything melting.

They bought a Ford Expedition; the last 2017 on the lot (3 people came into the dealership wanting to test drive it while they were closing the deal) and it just happened to be that beautiful FIRE ENGINE RED. I love red cars and hope my next one can be a red one. We bought our first red car (our school color ) when DD was a sophomore; they get their first one when Redstorm is a sophomore. We kept ours over 15 years (STILL wish I had that car back ); don't think they'll make that "record". She had a white Expedition before her previous car and couldn't wait to get back into one. She HATED that "downsized car" (don't know what it was but was smaller and I always felt "cramped" in it)...she "transports" so many kids at different times (as in club volleyball and/or soccer team; picks kiddos up from school for a friend who works in Houston) along with sports equipment. That smaller car just wasn't working.

Today was so cold. It felt like the coldest day, it wasn't temp wise but with the wind chill it felt like the coldest day. My face hurt so bad walking from the car to the building at the track meet today. The wind just went right through you and froze every bit of you so you couldn't even move. It was -7 this afternoon when we came out of the meet, that was about an hour north of where I live. It wouldn't surprise me if the real feel was -30.

Steph did really well at her meet today. She made the finals in the 55 dash and finished 4th. She finished 4th in the 300 dash and her relay team finished 2nd.
