Where In The World #20

You are expecting 8-12 inches of snow aren't you!? What did she say when someone pointed out that if she can't get in, they can't get in! I hope you are not going out in the snow for that job! spend the day at home looking for a new job!

She knows that one agent will never call in. Her excuse is she is "too old" to be driving in the snow. If you are too old to drive then it's time to RETIRE!

Absolutely hate my boss.>:( My boss never shows up on time, she is always late. Which usually I don't care because it is much more pleasant without her there but last week there was one day where one of the agents was on vacation and the other one had an appointment and would be late so that left me and her. The other two part time people come in later. She does not allow part time employees to use the key pad and come in the back door. The day before I reminded her Sandy had an appointment and she needed to be there to let me in. I sat there for 20 minutes waiting for her to get there. She pulls in and rolls her window down and says to me "Are you waiting to get in?" ME "Um yeah!" BOSS " Well Sandy should be in there." ME "No Sandy has an appointment, I reminded you yesterday." BOSS laughing :Oops sorry." :furious::furious::furious::furious::furious: Same thing happened today the two other agents were off today so just her and I opening. Late again. :furious::furious::furious::furious::furious: She isn't coming in tomorrow because of the snow. She said she isn't going to come in at all when it snows. So someone said to her well if you don't have to come in when it snows then we shouldn't have to.:lmao:

:yay: You get a SNOW DAY! :lmao: If she's not planning on working when it snows she'll be off until April or May, won't she? :rotfl2: At least it's a more pleasant work atmosphere with her gone! :thumbsup2 :tink:

In the garden area?

In the back by the bandstand?

Teamwork :thumbsup2; I call the back part of the pavilion the "quiet garden area" and yes, that's where the bandstand is!:dance3: I love that spot...it's SO quiet and peaceful.

And there you go. Travel safety is a big concern. And if everyone doesn't come in, then she doesn't make any money. You have my permission to stay home.

Now you have to think ahead. When she retires , grab her heater :lmao:

I have a heater, it works really good. Last winter she bought nice new heaters for herself and one of the other agents. Sandy couldn't use it because it kept blowing the fuses in her office. :lmao:So I took it.::yes::

Reading the Houston Chronicle this morning and had to smile about an article...it contained famous quotes from famous Texans. I thought about non-football fans, Jeff and Denise, and Diane and I who love the game, when I read this one from former Texas governor Ann Richards while speaking to former Houston Oilers coach, Bum Phillips, "Politics is a lot like football-you have to be smart enough to play the game and dumb enough to think it's important."

Diane...you'll appreciate this one from Bum Phillips, "Good sportsmanship gets you beat 28-17." :rotfl2:

Another favorite of mine that all Texas public school attendees can laugh at, "The first name of every geography teacher in Texas is COACH"...(90% of our coaches also teach an academic subject and 99% of those teach geography, world history or Texas history. :rotfl:)

And this is a REAL favorite by writer, Sandy Sheely, on Dallas' wealthy women: "Nowhere else would you put on pink shorts, a lynx coat, a seventeen-carat diamond and get into a white Rolls Royce to go to Safeway." :rolleyes1 :tink:

Too funny. I like the sportsmanship one. Our high school has a lot of teacher coaches too. The middle school will only allow their teachers to coach their teams.:confused3

Finally home. I stayed a few extra hours because there was only two of us in the office today.:headache: Parade or meet and greet?

I think it's standard procedure for coaches :rotfl2: but the kids LOVE those classes! My nephew is a Jr. High coach and he makes Texas History SO interesting...even dresses up as a pioneer at times. :thumbsup2 His students love it and they're grades show it! That was nice that you stayed extra and shouldn't have been to bad since the boss lady wasn't there. Snowing yet? :goodvibes
