Where do you keep your college degrees?

All my diplomas, junior high, high school, Bachelors, and Masters are in a tote in the storage room. I never had a desire to display them, yet I can’t throw them out.

In a trunk in an upstairs closet. My HS diploma, BS and MA degrees from college.

I answered this question almost exactly six years ago in post #44. So no need to reinvent the wheel.
Zombie Update: I did hang it in my home office.

I mean the actual diplomas. Are they in storage? Do you have them framed and hung on the wall? If so, where? At home? At your workplace?

I have my Bachelor's and Master's framed and hung in my living room, and the other day a good friend of mine half-kiddingly told me it's tacky to do so, unless you're a medical doctor or lawyer and they are hung at your practice.

How do you store yours?
I agree with your friends. Living room? Geez. Pretentious are we? Just kidding. Sounds like a fine place.

I keep mine where they belong. Hanging above the toilet. That way I can admire them often, and my wife never has to look at them.

So.....was it?
Hah! I forgot what the question was about! But he apparently doesn't care to display it so left it in the dining room cabinet with a bunch of other grad stuff. The diploma is all in English, with Latin incorporated into the school crest watermark.

My medical degree is in it’s original holder, unframed, under a pile of other “important” things.

Don't know if I answered this before, don't care to look. I think it has an inexpensive frame, I'm sure it is not displayed anywhere, must be in a box. We are moving soon so I will see if it turns up. I am quite proud of my engineering degree.

Both of ours are in a cupboard in our storage room in the basement. The only reason I know this for certain is because I went looking for an old yearbook (teacher passing away), and saw the padded folders that hold the diplomas next to it. (his is blue, mine is maroon)

So.....was it?
Can't answer for her, but mine doesn't have any Latin. It does say "in the year of our Lord" instead of "anno Domini". My public school diploma says "in the year nineteen.......".

The public school diploma is all caps in a fairly modern font. The Catholic school diploma uses an old English style font with upper and lowercase.

Weirdly enough, since posting in this thread I've had to show my PhD parchment twice (well, once an emailed picture was enough). I've also moved countries twice and both my PhD and MSc parchments are in my office desk drawer and the frame got lost.

I needed to show the parchments:

1) When moving to the US from Canada. I entered on a "NAFTA visa" which are limited to a specific set of occupations and you need to prove that you have the appropriate education. So, when I moved, I had to bring the parchment to the airport to so the immigration agent. For the record, it is seriously awkward to carry that in your carry-on.

2) When I took my current job, I needed to prove that I had my PhD. But, in this case, I could just email them an image of it.

In a cabinet, in a bookcase. All are nicely padded, but I never displayed them. We did have our sons’ framed for them, and I know at least one has his hanging in his office at work.

A few years ago we had to put together a teaching protfolio to have adminstrators review for teacher evaluations. So my BS and MS diplomas are in that portfolio in a binder on a bookshelf here at home. before that they were in a file in a box in the closet.

Framed and hung in my home office, then moved and hung in the guest bedroom, now somewhere in my basement.

Did you really need all that? I've got transcripts that list my complete grades as well as the degrees granted. If I don't want anyone to see my grades, I have a certificate of enrollment that also lists the degrees granted and my major. My graduate school issued a letter of enrollment with the degree granted. When I fulfilled my requirements I got a letter from the school indicating that I had met all the requirements for graduation although I wouldn't be awarded the degree until June. I lost that letter, but I can use my other letter just fine.

No, I just said I did for fun. :crazy2:

You are literally replying to a post where I said that I needed those things. Unless you are suggesting that I'm lying, I don't understand your question.

I have mine on a shelf in my living room in their folder things but since they both cost me over 100k in debt I might as well frame them I guess!

I teach at a university and a lot of folks hang them in their offices- when I get to go back in person my plan is to finally frame them and hang them. I think it makes sense for college professors to have them up when meeting with students.

Idk I've always been happy to have them in my living room because I'm proud of them. 🤷‍♀️ I'm in the career my degrees were meant for though and I think that makes a difference for some folks. Friends of mine that ended up in different careers don't seem to have the same nostalgia (if that's the right word?) I do to have them displayed.
