where do you buy the food for the cabins and other questions?

Do they have stores nearby? Do they clean the cabins for your stay? If you cook, do they clean that for you,too?

There is Wal-Mart, and Publix close. Yes, they have Mousekeeping. I've always cleaned up after our cooking, can't answer that one. Have a great stay. ( The cabins have all the benefits of any WDW resort).

When we cooked we either put the dishes and pans in the sink or the dishwasher. When Mousekeeping came they would put all the dishes and pans into the dishwasher, along with the detergent, and turn it on. All we had to do when we got back from the Parks is empty the dishwasher.
As for food we rented a car once and there are grocery stores nearby. However after the first visit we always used the Magical Express so we would order our food from Garden Grocer. The food from them was always in the cabin, with perishables in the refrigerator, before we got to Ft Wilderness.

Will you be driving or flying? If flying, renting a car? When we were DVC members flying in and staying in the villas with kitchens, we'd pick up our rental car at the airport and hit the Super Target off of Orange Blossom Trail on our way over. In the villas we always cleaned up after our cooking. Though if we left a coffee cup or something like that out on one of the housekeeping days they would often wash it for us (not every day for DVC like you'll have in the cabins.)

We used wegoshop.com We could pick from local ads and choose where they shopped so we could get the current specials and discounts. Delivered/met us at the cabin door.

The trading post has dry staples, bread, milk, eggs, hot dogs, frozen pizza, chips etc. No vegetables or fresh meat though.

You can order before you leave your house and you can pick when you want the food delivered. The guy that came even packed my order into the fridge for me. I'll be using them again on this next trip.

I highly recommend WeGoShop. We had a terrible experience with Garden Grocer (poor quality frozen food & produce, items packed poorly & smushed)-, etc.).

WeGoShop will get exactly what you want from any store you want. They shop for quality as though they were shopping for themselves. I have always been beyond impressed with the groceries and the service!
