I'm thinking about buying an Annual Pass, I read you can only buy them at the entrance to the Theme Parks, is that true? Is there any other location, DD or anywhere else?

Thanks,

Leah

...at the Disney Store at the Orlando Int'l Airport.

It's quite possible you can get them at other Disney Stores, around the country. Can't hurt to go up to the cashier and ask.

You can buy both APs and Premium APs at the Disney Store in your area. They are located on a special display with other ticket options and Birnbaum books. Choose which you desire and take it to the cash register and pay for it. You will receive a special receipt that will need to be kept separately from your passes in case of loss or theft. You will need to activate your pass at guest relations outside of one of the 4 main WDW parks.

If you do not live near a Disney Store, you may order your AP's online as well. Tickets bought ahead of time outside the state of Florida will be less expensive!

Not true. There is no advance purchase discount on AP/PAP's. You will pay the exact same price in advance as you will at the gate.

There is a chart at http://wdwig.com/ticket.htm#5 that will show you all the places where you can purchase an AP.

So, you can't activate them anymore at DTD?

You can BUY them at TDS, but have never been able to activate them there. It is best to activate them on your first visit, so you don't waste any days.

Of course, but I was asking about activating them at Downtown Disney (DTD). Your previous post seemed to indicate that you could activate them only at guest relations at the 4 main parks. Can you still activate them at DTD?

I bought mine at the Orlando International Airport, it was fast and painless. :D

Thanks for your replys, do you know if you need your pass activated to check into an onsite hotel? I'm just thinking on checking in, then going to activate them, I don't know if that would work.

The pass does not need to be activated. You just need the voucher. You can then activate the pass later, when you go to the parks.

Good luck!!

On Mousesavers.com, It does show an advanced purchase discount compare to the gate price.
