Transferred Points and Waitlist

Hi.
If I get points transferred in and use for a WL, will my WL match and same question if I stalk.
I'm worried if I see the room, or the WL matches and I have only transferred points left,
I will need to call, in which case, I'll just be happy with my 8 nights and not worry about the extra night.

You can use them for both waitlists and stalking. The only time you’d need to call if stalking is if you are trying to use them for a home resort booking is those points.

Transferred points don’t play nice online until 7 months or less.

I have found many times that transferred points do not show up (especially if different resort and EVEN if same resort/UY). I transfer often into 2 memberships and very appreciative but it's very annoying to have to call Member Services an hour later than doing it on line. Makes all the difference in the world with getting what you want/need.

Thank you. I want to do a transfer and don't care about the resort because it is less than 7 months.
Are you saying that in your experience, you stalked or you saw an availability and you couldn't get the room because
you had to call MS? That is the exact reason for my question.

I have no problem using them online at 7 months. You will only see them, though, when you go to book. The temporary contracts show up there....not on your dashboard. Only time I have had to call was when I wanted to do a home resort booking with them.

Just as a side note, DVC is now enforcing the one transfer in and out of memberships, even for owns owned by the same owner. So, we are no longer being given the "exception" that the have the past few years.
