Here it is in my signature, with my grandson doing the honors. They are a bit over $21.00 at Beaches and Cream, a small ice cream restaruant at the Beach Club resort. We used a connections voucher (lots of info about them all over these borads) that we paid $11 for..that let us get a meal and this dessert. I don't care for it..too messy, and too much cookie's, cakes, brownies etc, mixed in with the 8 scoops of ice cream. My grandson loved it.
I forget how much time they give you..but I believe if one person eats this in 1/2 hour, it's free. It's only 8 scoops..and a jar of cheeries, and can of whip cream, brownies, banannas, cake, cookies, fruit slices, etc.

What??? Seriously? 1/3hr and it's free? I can do that. I'm a sweet-tooth junkie under control but I could lose control that night and eat it that fast to get it free!!
What time/day did you say you guys would be there? I know it was on another thread somewhere but I can't find it. Maybe I WILL join you and eat that badboy as my supper and do it fast enough to get it free. LOL
It really does look a whole lot bigger than 8 scoops of icecream though. I guess because of all that stuff on there? If that's mostly whipped cream I could probably do it. But I keep looking at that pic and it's so huge! LOL
My family specifically went to Beaches 'n' Cream to do this. DH was hungry so he had the prime rib sub with onion rings before we attempted the Sink. (Heh. The kids played in the arcade...especially the basketball thing and the "Capture a Wild Animal on the Serengetti Plain Game"...I have no idea what this game is really called, but it is right across from the basketball game. (I sat there until one of our kids said move over in order to play the game).
If anyone has teens (I'd guess from 10 to 18) this arcade is a good reward at the end of the day for doing what the rest of the family wants to do during the day...those of you with teens will know what I'm talking about! Oh, those long-suffering teens! Even if they (secretly) enjoy doing what the rest of the family "makes" them "suffer through"!!!!
By the way, the sandwich was DELICIOUS and big enough to share a little...and my hubby usually doesn't share! The onion rings are classic!...exactly the way I remembered them when I had them in MY teens...totally homemade!!!!
I forgot to say that we did the Kitchen Sink with 2 adults and three kids...1 15 year old and our two "little girls" (only in 8th grade yet).
I definitely would NOT recommend this dessert for any family less than 4...and at that, there is more than enough for 8!!!! It seems so gross to waste all those gooey and crunchy toppings and ice cream!
While we were there some young adults (10 of them) came in and did it justice. Also three other families of 5, 6 and 6 ate one...also one family of 3, who left most of it melting and looking forlorn.
Our family ate it almost to the bottom, but we were Soooooo Stuffed!!!
Hi, I will be going Feb 27-March 1 and I want to get a kitchen sink. Do I need to make a PS for it? We will prob go later in the afternoon, maybe about 3 or so, in between parks. Then is it better to drive over to epcot (we are going there after we eat), take the ferry or walk? Thanks!!!!!
Julie
That place is really small, if you want a table you may have to wait because it's popular.
I've seen Kitchen Sinks but I haven't had one (they include mint and coffee ice cream, I think...yuck). They make a big hoopla (hoopla!) when somebody orders one, flashing the lights and making an announcment. I wouldn't attempt this with less than 4 people. I am partial to the No Way Jose (chocolate/peanut butter sundae) but I can't even finish one of those by myself.
Well, it will be Myself, hubby and my friend that is going. We are planning on using one of the connections vouchers for 11.75, so it won't bother me that we don't eat it all. It is just something we have not done before and I would like to try it. Besides...... hubby is a very big eater and he loves sweets.
