Where can i buy an AP and get the DVC discount?

Can I buy an AP at any of the theme park gates and receive the DVC discount? Anyone tried this yet? Or should I order it online? It won't be active until I arrive, right? Is the DVC discount available at the Disney store, do they sell AP or just regular tickets?

Buy online on the Disney website -- you will need your DVC #. Print out your receipt and bring with you to any guest services window at the parks. Your pass will start on that day.
