Where are you having your Rehearsal Dinner?

Great posts all. I love hearing what everyone did. We are thinking three different places: what do you think:

Ohana's
California Grill
Teppan Edo (Teppanyaki in Japan)

Not sure which to go with. Question: If you have it in a disney park, do your guests have to pay for park entry. Our rehearsal dinner is going to be big too unfortunately. I am thinking about 40 people. We have 5 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen, a flower girl and 2 ring bearers. I feel like that is so many people.....anyway, what are your thoughts?

You could get one of the private rooms at the CG, the minimums aren't too high. I'm not sure what the cut off is for "large parties" at regular restaurants is and I think it varies, but I think 40 might be too big.

You could do something at one of the resorts. Sunshine had a BBQ on the beach at the BC. Janet2K has had some nice get togethers that might work for a RD.

Thanks for your input! I didnt realize that there were any cutoffs. That is definitly something to consider.....

Bethany -

I believe they would have to pay for admission to the park if it's held at a venue in a park, unless the guests have a park hopper or annual pass or a day ticket for that particular park.

We're planning on having the "rehearsal dinner" at one of the California Grill private rooms. One room will accomodate up to 50 and the other up to 30, so that sounds like it would fit your group. We're essentially inviting everyone (around 50) who will be attending the wedding to a sit down, plated dinner. The views are spectacular there, and the food is amazing!

As of right now, we are having ours at Cape May Cafe. We were gonna have it at ohana's but the food wasnt friendly for everyone that we were having.
(We have picky eaters).

We decided on cape may cafe because everyone in the bridal party and attending that dinner is from NJ and there is such a varity.

We are doing a beach theme.

I'm giving the little white chair picture frames as favors at the dinner.

My understanding is that if you have it in the park one of two things will happen in regards to tickets.

Either the guests would have to have a ticket purchased for them (by them or you), or you can pay a viewing fee. At least that how it is with dessert parties where you pay a fee for each guest without a ticket. HTH
