When worlds collide~the original flats meet in 4D!!

You all have piqued my curiosity. My favorite author is Charles Dickens. Also a big fan of G.A. Henty.

I love Dickens books as movies ,but to read I forgot the point due to the long narrative !! However , a little TIDBIT !! Mr Pickworth stayed at the Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmunds , which is from whence I hail!!!! I was a huge Shkespere fan and kinda enjoyed Chaucer !!! Not so much in olde englishe :rotfl: but I liked his style !!!

my favorite author.....oh wait, I don't read.;)

Jordan you just write !!!:thumbsup2

Good comeback-- God! :lmao: Pretty good author, that One.

Jane Austen is great, but for a good modern read, Cherie, you should pick up anything written by Bill Bryson. He is soooooo funny! A Walk in the Woods is especially hilarious!

I've read all the Clive Cussler stuff too. He's a man's man! :thumbsup2 No kilts yet, though.

I usually read historical stuff..with a touch of romance.
My favorite christmas book is Skipping Christmas...they made it into a movie with Tim allen called Christmas with the Kranks, but the book was so much better.
I had sore ribs from laughing so hard. I read it every december.

Lately all I get time to read is Clients Rights !!!

however do you contain your excitment?

I laugh just as hard as I did the first time. The scene where he's putting frosty on the roof.....:lmao:

Years of training to control your emotions !!!:lmao:Without that trainingI would just be unable to control myself !!:rotfl2:

I know I've read Jane Austin but can't remember which ones !!What are some of your favs !!!????

In English class I was a thorn in the English Masters' side as I refused to be persuaded by him on my oppinion of the female in Chaucers Clerks tale ! I insisted she was whacked for letting her husband take her child ,he said she was a loyal and brave wife ,I retorted she was a disgrace to mother hood ! That earned me quite a little comment on my report card!!!:rotfl2: BUT the next semester he cameto meand told me he had discovered that a leading expert on Chaucer agreed with me ,but that we were still out numbered !!!:rotfl2:

Now I bet you all are soooo surprised that I was ever like that:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Sense and Sensability is my favorite with pride and predjudice a close second. I've notice that alot of modern movies have a similar plot as p&p.

you lost me a chaucer....all I know is he is the herald in A Knight's Tale...actually at first he's the naked man in the road....If you haven't seen that movie you need to.

I prefer my mind in the gutter...;)
you realy should take it out for a good roto rootering every once in a while.

That's where mine seems to gravitate !!!:rotfl2:
yep, and you always blame sweet innocent moi!

As opposed to...????

the crapper? he must not like getting swirlies.;)

I know I'm late... But it's hard not to be with some of you guys. There are 3 new pages every day sometimes. Craziness. Anywho, one of my favorite authors is Gregory Maguire. He's the one who wrote Wicked before it became a musical.

don't worry about being late. For me the the banter in between updates is what makes if fun.

I've seen that series before and thought about getting it, I guess I'll add that to my christmas list.

.....Did you see that D.jay?:thumbsup2
