When the Grandparents are coming...where to stay?

While definitely nice, that's a bit of overkill. A 2bd DVC rental at any DVC resort would be significantly cheaper and still provide lots of space. I'd suggest OKW. It'll be the cheapest and is the most spacious. Can't beat the full kitchen and washer/dryer.

I agree with a 2BR DVC villa, but with grandparents in their 70s I'd caution OP that the OKW buildings are 3 stories, and only a few have elevators. So whether that's a good choice for OP's family or not might depend on how mobile the grandparents are.

Very true. You can request a ground floor, but there are no guarantees.

We’ve booked a 2br villa at OKW for our stay next month. Because my mom uses an ECV, we specifically booked a HA room to ensure we either have a ground floor or access to an elevator.

I’d book a two bedroom lock off at AKV. That’s what we did when my MIL came with us. She got her own space to retreat to with her own kitchen area so she could retreat from our circus and not bother the kids if she woke up early. It worked out great!

  • No large crowds or noise from neighboring resorts makes it perfect for restful evenings.

Moderate Price Point

  • Strikes the perfect balance between affordability and comfort.
  • Offers upgraded amenities without the premium price of deluxe resorts.

Boat Ride to Disney Springs

  • A charming ferry boat ride down the Sassagoula River provides easy access to Disney Springs for dining and shopping—without needing to board a bus.

Laid-Back Recreation

  • Heated pool with whimsical Mardi Gras theme is fun but not rowdy.
  • Surrounding areas offer quiet gardens and riverside benches ideal for relaxing.
