When is spring break season (Non-Disney)

I am trying to plan a trip to Mexico around the end of April, but would like to avoid crowded airlines, higher costs,etc so am hoping to avoid the spring break season.

I know our spring break is in March, but wondered if anyone would know how late in April the 'season' goes?

Looks like you should be okay. I'm cruising the week there are 2 million on Spring Break...hopefully they'll be somewhere other than my cruise. LOL

It goes all the way to the end of April (my kids always have the last week off - we're in the Northeast). By mid-May most of the college students are out and some schools are also getting out around that time. I've found the best time to travel is during the first two weeks of May.

We are in NJ and usually have the 3rd full week of April off. However, alot of districts are changing things up next year. My MIL's district is only getting M-Thurs during the last week of April because of too may days on Christmas break. Two towns away, my SIL's district is getting Easter Week (April 13th week). I just NJ would all have the same schedule. It makes it hard for families that travel together.

Wow, I hadn't even thought about some schools being out by May.....
