When is DVC going to get with the times

First off let me just say we love WDW and DVC. I do have one major problem with them. You can't make payments online or view your contract balance. Get with the program Disney. Sometimes it takes for ever to get through on the phone.

Yes they keep saying that. Sort of reminds me of how long it took for Test Track to actually open. ;)

I'm still waiting for it to actually work right. :rolleyes: It still seems to break down everytime I'm either in line, or on the ride.
 
I believe that Goofy's current contract to maintain the system (and his subsequent subcontract to Chip and Dale) continues for some time still.... ;)

It has broken down everytime we have been in line also. So we have stopped trying to ride it.
 
Building a system from the ground up does take a lot of time. Too bad they don't have Caskbill working on it for them, he would have had it done already. :earboy2:

You must have gotten from the script in the official DVC CM textbook. It's in the section labeled "how to blow off annoying guests who ask any questions about things we should have but haven't done."
 
Something odd to share from trip last week. As we were doing our add on, making small talk with our guide, I asked straight up about online banking points, vacation planning, paying online, etc and he said "oh yeah, that just started 5 days ago, you can do all of that online now"....I was so stoked, turned to my DH and said "that's what you get for not being online during vacation, I bet the DIS is in a uproar, etc". Well come home, go online, and find nothing. Maybe it really is just around the corner????????

I am one of those hands on people, I like to see my accounts dropping as I make payments!! Fuels the motivation for our goal of a 2 year payoff!!!

I don't think Disney wants to fuel your motivation for paying it off sooner than later. Remember they make money on the interest. Maybe another reason why paying and monitoring your account balance online has never materialized. :rotfl:
 
It'll be great when they actually get it up and running. Will they have a beta test of a few chosen DVC members to get the bugs out???

Yes, but I for one am more likely to buy more points once my current debt is paid......We hold the keys to their success in the long run!!!!!
 
Does anybody know when Caskbill's system will be available? I am juggling 3 separate contracts and it drives me crazy! Anything is better than trying to decipher my notes everytime I need to bank/borrow/reserve etc. etc. etc.!!!
 
I long for the day when I can access and manage my DVC account online, make reservations, etc. Let's hope there really *is* a new system :wizard: and that it's up and running soon. If not, I'll be looking forward to Caskbill's new program.

I just made reservations and was radomly selected to participate in a short survey. The question was if I would prefer to make reservations by phone, fax, email or internet. It appears that they maybe thinking about updating the reservation system. Make sure you stay connected to do the survey if you are selected.
