The answer to both is yes, if you can add them to your
DVC reservation. Keep in mind if you do so, if you have the
DDP you will have to add them to that for length of stay as well.
If not, when we have a day visitor we inform the Security Guards at the resort gate. They take down our name and our guests' names as well. They will be able to ride the transportation if they have multi day park tickets or AP's. They will not be able to swim in the AKV pools, however.
If you don't have the DDP, and are under room occupancy, I would just add them to the reservation.
