Finally broke the news to Randy...well, I didn't tell him I booked it, just that I had been looking at it and and had been tempted by the deal and he said, "that's fine with me.":cool1::woohoo::yay:

He even followed it up with, "I'm sure I can contribute some money to the trip (from his spending money) as well!!" :worship:

So, the only HITCH is whether or not he is going to get overload for one of the courses they've asked him to teach. He SHOULD be getting it, but we need to wait until Monday or Tuesday before we find out for sure. If for some reason he DOESN'T get the overload...that's a deal breaker!! :sad2:

So keep your fingers crossed for me, because I NEED another Disney fix and I am so tantalizingly close to getting one I can almost TASTE the free dining!!

If everything is a go, I am TOTALLY starting a PTR next week and so Aimee's request for details will be met then.

JANE:

I'm leaving for my youth trip in a little bit so I'll work on the recipes for you early next week.

About to go get my hair chopped off!!

 :scared1: :scared1:

Will post pics later! Wish me luck!

Getting both boys hair cut as well... DS2 is not a fan. So hoping we don't end up with a scalped little boy! LOL

Have a great trip Julie! YAY for Randy saying mostly yes! What's overload? :confused3

Have a good day everyone! :goodvibes

Aimee - ooh, how much hair are we talking? we need before and after pics!!
I love having short hair! It's so easy and it was great at WDW to keep my neck cool (I hate sweaty hair on my neck!)

About to go get my hair chopped off!!

Good Luck!!!

I cannot WAIT to get my hair cut next Thursday, going with about 4" off. I'm so excited to get it shorter I about want to just cut it off now and have her fix it later :rotfl:

And I don't know why I didn't multi-quote... blonde I guess! But YAY for a Disney Trip!! I have so long to wait I need PTRs and TRs to keep me busy!

Hey Guys!
Thanks for the b-day wishes, I'm officially not counting it. The only redeeming thing about it was my mom came over and took Lucas and I out to dinner. Where my sweet angel (still sick) child proceeded to act like a demon the whole meal. I have never heard a child whine as much as he has the last two days. he is still sick, running a fever all week, and now a croupy deep in the chest cough has set in. My friend's kids (the culprits i like to call them) have it too & her doctor said that as long as they have the cough they're contagious. Well isn't that just great! I'm trying to find the bright side in being stuck at home, and here they are....1) he's not in pre-school yet so he's not missing any thing 2) I've read the first 3 books in the Stephanie Plum series this week.....and that's all I have so far.
I did hit a bump and fall off the wagon yesterday, but I'm trying not to freak out about it because i always eat when i get stressed out so I'm just trying to make good choices & I'll re-start counting points next week (I'm too chicken to calculate the damage on the WW site) but I will run tomorrow & i can't wait to get out of this house!

Food log:
brkfst - yogurt, coffee w/creamer
lunch - 3 slices turkey pastrami, pumpernickel pretzel rods
dinner - chinese restaurant, mixed veggies w/tofu (half of order), spring roll
dessert - other half of my cupcake
snack - lime & salt popcorn, handful of pringles

Aimee - can't wait to see the new 'do. What did you mean when you posted to send you our WW online id??? I'm an ignoramus, so you'll have to spell it out for me :confused3

:sad2:

My hair cut did not turn out like I wanted it to. At all. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and it's nothing like the picture. It's gonna take a while for me to get used to and I keep telling myself it'll grow back out.

I tried to take some pictures last night but I just like tired and sad in them. So I'm gonna wait til I actually have make up on to take a picture of the new do.

I admit I cut a little bit off of it last night myself when I got home. I had two little puff balls on either side of my head. Really?

She tired to cut long side bangs and it just puffed out and looked crazy.

I need to try to put some product in it and take a flat iron to it and see what I can make of it!

UGH!

Yesterday foodwise was interesting...

I had two breakfast tacos (bacon and egg only) for breakfast that I made. So with whole wheat tortillas and only 1 piece of bacon per taco.

Then for dinner we went out to get Tex-Mex. Chips and queso killed me.

I did only eat 1 enchilada and 1 chicken chalupa and NO rice or beans. Then 1/4 of a tres leche slice.

So in comparison to eating habits of the past, my portions were WAY down. So that's a good thing.

It's all I had all day. I even went to Sonic and ordered a bottle of water and a cup of ice and resisted the Cherry Limeade (my favorite drink on a hot day and boy was it hot yesterday! 101 here)

So taking babysteps again toward getting back on track.

School starts on Tuesday. I'm stillllll waiting for a call from DS7's school. I am really anxious about finding out who his teacher is next year and who all is in his class this year. I realize that I'll find out on Tuesday... but knowing a little early would be nice!

I'll check in later. Hope everyone has a great weekend!! :goodvibes

Bree - Thank you for mentioning the lime & salt popcorn in your food logs...I remembered that while I was at the store and bought some. It is SO good!

Aimee - I'm sorry you don't like your haircut! I've never had my hair cut short in my adult life, I'd be too scared to do it with my thick, often frizzy hair. It's shoulder-length or longer for me! Hopefully you can make something cute out of it!

My leg muscles are definitely feeling it with all the walking and the minor strength training I've been doing after months of inactivity...feeling it a little in my stomach too, but I need to work on keeping my abs engaged no matter what kind of exercise I'm doing.

My mom said she could tell already that I've lost weight. I'm not really able to tell by looking yet, but it's good to hear!

Evening all! I think I've mostly caught up on everything, this week has just been craaaazy with helping my Mom paint, getting stuff together for school starting Monday, and having to pick up Piper today! She's definitely gained quite a bit of the weight back, and has a bad cough, will call her Dr on Monday and see what she wants to do. :headache: I have been tracking on Spark, but will just start tracking here again tomorrow. I've stayed in my ranges, but my exercise was off for the week, I'm expecting either no change or slight loss Monday am. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Bree- Hope all of you are feeling back up to par and you're able to really celebrate your birthday soon!

Julie- Wooohoo for a Disney trip! Got room in your duffle? ;)

Aimee- Sorry you're not happy with your hair. I got mine buzzed, if it'll make you feel better, I can post a piccie! :lmao:

Amanda-sorry Piper isn't feeling her best. Hope the doctor can get things back on track. How do you like your hair?? Honestly, I've considered cropping my hair supper short on occasion just because it's such a pain to deal with daily, but I'm scared to do it. I've never really had my hair much shorter than chin-length. Also, I know I wouldn't be reliable about getting a regular trim like you have to do with short hair.

Aimee-have you had a chance to play with the haircut yet? Sometimes my hairdresser just doesn't style like I do; and once I play with it, I realize it wasn't the cut that was bad. If it still doesn't look like what you wanted, I'd go back and have them fix it. You gave them a photo, so they should have been able to get it close! :sad2:

Bree and Dana-what is this popcorn I'm hearing about?? Sounds interesting. I usually eat the Kettle Korn because I like the slightly sweet taste (and no one else in the house will eat it and steal MY treats! :rotfl: ) I wouldn't mind giving something new a try though. What brand is this and where do you find it?

Julie-I'm completely jealous of your trip. We just took our 2-week BIG vaca to Disney in June. I probably will not get back to Disney until my 40th Birthday Bash with my sisters in December, 2012. :sad1: (Yes, I'm already planning. My birthday is actually New Year's Eve, but I don't have the guts to go during Christmas/New Years week, so we're planning on early December to enjoy the low crowds and decorations and maybe, just maybe, MVMCP!!)

Bree-Hope you have a better belated birthday.

Another busy day ahead. Have to get moving for church at 10 a.m., then straight from there to a birthday party for two of my nephews at noon, then off to Columbus to make some returns/exchanges at JCPenny and Sears (When will I learn NOT to pick up things for my daughter just because they're on the clearance rack - they never fit.) At least I got all the grocery/day care shopping and some of the canning done yesterday. I won't feel so bad about being gone all day. We got rained out of picking more beans yesterday, so DH will have to take care of it by himself today. :rotfl: Poor Baby.

Hope you all are having great weekends. Wish me luck at the B-day party. Still haven't decided if I might have a small piece of cake. It will probably depend on what they serve for lunch and whether I feel like I can afford it after that.

Well, I hang my head. I still haven't been tracking. :guilty:
I think about it, and then I just don't do it. It's been an awful week, both in terms of eating and busy - ness. I have been craving all those foods that I should not be eating more than one bite of. Parties don't help.

I really am hoping to get back into the swing of things this week. I feel like I'm making excuses for eating poorly - oh we ate out, oh there was this party, oh we're going to the ball game, oh, the state fair...

So I'm going to make an effort to just eat less and move more. I can't expect life to not happen just becaue I'm not supposed to eat like a pig, right?
How do you enjoy food you love without over indulging? :confused3

Probably the more accurate question for me is how do I develop will power?

So far today I have had two pieces of french toast with marg/syrup made from wheat bread.
Think I'll go eat a banana.
