When are kids free?

My family is planning a DLR reunion. My SIL has heard that during certain months (maybe Jan. and Feb.) kids get in free. What weeks does this normally happen? Do you have to be staying on-property to get the tickets?

She wants to wait until Dec. to book anything (and to choose the dates). I'm considering booking off-site and would like to snag any good deals ASAP.

I haven't seen the kids free promo in a while, but DL will run adults get in for kids prices every so often.

I haven't seen the kids free thing in several years... probably since the start of the 50th, maybe before. They always run a promotion in the early part of the year (January thru April-ish). 2008 special seems to be get 2 days free with any 3 or more day parkhopper.

They are not offering the kids' free promotion anytime soon. This Spring's promotion is 5 days for the price of 3. It will begin in mid-January and run until the end of April.

The only time kids are free is if they are 2 or younger.

We haven't seen the kids free when you purchase an adult parkhopper promo for a couple of years now. As others have mentioned, disneyland's promo for the early months of 2008 is: get an extra 2 days when you buy a 3 day or longer parkhopper (kids & adults).

Do any airlines offer packages for DL that are different than the ones you buy directly. My SIL's friend says she got the free kids deal through an airline.

There's the kids fly free which usually occurs in the begnning of the year. You usually need to book a package (airfare, hotel & hoppers). The kid's airfare portion are free when paying full airfare rate. The parkhopper $$costs are usually the same promo disneyland.com runs. I'm assuming that the kids fly free promo for 2008 will also have the play an extra 2 days with 3+ days parkhopper.

In March of last year my DS was free ~ we booked through Getawaytoday.com DD was free than cause she was under 3.
