I have an adult cousin visiting Disney this fall and he is need of a wheelchair. He transfer pretty easily but doesn't have the capacity to do a motorized chair himself. So, just a plain wheelchair. I was discussing with my aunt and uncle that an outside company might be a better option so they have that chair to and from the park. So, I know there are outside stroller companies that do a wonderful job with stroller rentals. What I want to know if there is a company similar that does regular wheelchairs. If so, who is the one everyone around here seems to trust most?

I used Apple Scooters when I needed to rent a wheelchair for my mom. All went well. They pick up and deliver to resorts.

check the FAQs on the DISabilities board.

There are "Featured Vendors" who are allowed to use Bell Services at the WDW resorts for pick-up and return, or "Non-Featured" vendors who will arrange to meet you in person. Neither option is necessarily better, good and bad reviews from both lists -- those with DIS'er reviews are noted in the post.

Both my husband and have had to use a manual wheelchair on separate occasions. I would advise to hop over to the disabilities forum for lots more info but there are many places who will deliver the chair to your resort (onsite or off) and then pick it back up when you leave. Extremely easy to do.

Quite honestly, renting a wheelchair from any offsite place that is mentioned on the disabilities forum will be a no-brainer.
