What's your OTHER favorite Theme Park?

I used to go to Kennywood every yr for our school picnic ( don't even think they have them anymore!)

Not sure about your school, but they do still have school picnics, city community picnic days and ethnic days. I keep saying I'm going to go on our old community day --see if I recognize anyone!

Ridden all the roller coasters from Cedar Point to Six Flags NewEngland to Busch Gardens and everything in between and I have to say that Kennywood's Jack Rabbit (built in 1928) has to be the scarriest coaster I have ever ridden on. None of those new fangled shoulder harnesses, just a seatbelt and the biggest air time of any coaster. Sat in the back, was lifted off our seat and we never thought we were gonna come down.

I guess you have never been on the Williams Grove Cyclone. The Jack Rabbit is a little scary, but still fun...Williams Grove Cyclone is demented, so demented that we had to ride it again to see if we were having a nightmare

(NOTE: Williams Grove is a very small park between Harrisburg and Gettysburg)

My favourite park anywhere is Alton Towers in England. It has some great coasters (a few world firsts) and is set in some beautiful countryside. It also has it's own ruined country home.

In the USA I loved Sea World in San Diego and San Diego zoo. I also loved Discovery Cove.

I am hoping that Busch Gardens will be my new favourite coaster park after I visit there in December.

I agree about Six Flags. I've been to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, and I will never return there either.

There is NO place like Disney , but I grew up going to Knott's Berry Farm, and it holds a special place in my heart . I enjoy Dollywood for a nice weekend getaway now and then.

Astroworld (they have an awsome wooden coaster there)

Angela Park, the park they used to have in Moosic, PA (I forget the name), Harvey's Lake (also long gone)....

Disney is still the best - I came here before I started working here, and will keep coming after I am gone....

Kennywood is great!!! But then again I am biased, I live in the Pittsburgh vacinity.

Anyone hear of Idlewild Park in Ligonier, PA? Its owned by Kennywood...

Anyway, that is one of my favorites! I grew up going there, worked there when I was a teen and through college, and still take my daughter.

I love parks like that, nothing could ever come close to Disney though.....

I have been there a couple times. Right next to Storybook Forest. Nice park almost as clean as Disney!

I watched the Opryland USA park next to the Grand Ole Opry house in Nashville, TN, being built and my grandfather took my brother and I there every summer. And when I got old enough, I worked there for 2 summers. I was distraught when they closed it and built "Shopryland." So this is my favorite park because I know that park. My feet have not forgiven me for the 10 hour days (we worked 4 days for 10 hours and then had 3 days off) but Opryland is still my park!

There is another thread called "funniest things you've heard at WDW" so I'll add funny things I heard..

What time is the 3 'o clock show?
Is that the train? (as large black locomotive passes)
Do you like cleaning the mens room or the womens room better?
How do you clean-up the throw-up?

I have to say Hersheypark. We have season passes and go all the time. My girls have a need for speed, like their Daddy, and that is our fix until we can get to see the Big Mouse. I don't let them ride the rides other places like the Fair (going on this week) since I don't trust the ones where they tear down and put them up elsewhere, every week.

mhf, Opryland was a great park. We still miss it.
The best ride was Chaous!(I`m not sure how to spell it) It was similar to Space Mountain. Very cool ride.

We don't go to many....

But, we really like Knoebel's and Hersheypark.

We live 15 minutes from Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, but we stay away from that place...

Sea World Orlando - feeding the dolphins
Busch Gardens Tampa - all the animal encounters and the sky buckets
IOA - coasters!

we don't get out of the state much...
