Is there one place you HAVE to have a picture of every year? Maybe the kids walking down Main St., heading towards the castle? :D

One GREAT thing to take a video of, especially if you have children, is the tea cups! :bounce: We have down these in 1994, 1997, 2000, and sadly, I think for the last time in 2002 (the kids have gotten so big, all 5 of us don't fit in one tea cup anymore!! :earseek: ). Seat the kids across from you, and as the ride starts, get the tea cup spinning as fast as you can. Video tape the kids face during the ride...........their eyes actually start to roll around in their head! ::yes:: Lots of giggles when you get home and watch the movie!! :rotfl:

Obviously, always on MainStreet with castle in background, always on bridge with Splash Mountain in background and my favourite, sitting next to the goofy statue as you walk in, with me sitting in the same position as goofy.

verity.

We always took a picture of our son at the "Adventureland" sign (where you can sit on the bench in front of it) every time we went (26 pictures!). Last December, we had the privilege of taking another picture of him there (almost 20 years after his last visit)--then one with his wife and daughter!

I'm looking for a good place to get a nice shot of my kids to use as my Holiday cards this year. Any recommendations? It obviously won't have a Holiday backdrop, but I just want a good pic of the kiddies (5 & 2 1/2)

Thanks!

Actually if you go to Downtown Disney on the end that is near Rainforest Cafe, when you walk in there are statues of goofy, mickey, and donald duck and a Merry Christmas banner with a snow covered Christmas tree. This would make a great Christmas card. I took one when I was there in March.

When my wife and I were down there a few winters ago they had a sleigh with seasonal flowers around it, it made for a great holiday picture. Depending when you go that might be nice. It was located off of Main street where the old little side street was (now reclaimed for retail) but they may have moved it across the street with Donald's Christmas Tree Store is located.

we love pics of the girls with castle in the back...two fav spots are on the bridge from tomorrowland and going into fronteirland...also cool shot is on early entry days walking alone hand in hand away from camera towards castle...it's like it is their own playground!!!!!:sunny:

thanks for the great photo ideas!

:wave2:

We always get a picture of the boys standing on either side of Mickey's mailbox in Toontown. It is neat to see how much they have grown (the mailbox used to be taller than ds!).

Also, we get pictures in Donald's boat windows - they used to fit inside one!

The third spot, and maybe one for the Christmas shot, is at Winter/Summerland inside the sleigh.

At MGM we always go over to the Singin' in the Rain umbrella since that is one of my top 10 all-time favorite movies!

We also go around to the various countries in Epcot and take a picture in front of the main item - like in front of the fountain in Germany.

We do others, but those are the definite every trip pictures!

Anywhere in the France Pavillion at EPCOT for me. There are just so many nice phot spots there. Also, around the Castle at MK either of the Castle itself or the gardens, fountains, well, or mosaics.

At Blizzard Beach there is an area with a snow family in beach gear and snowmobiles that would make for a great holiday card. I took a video of my two oldest kids there when they were small. I might snap some pics of them there this year with my 4 year old and 18 month old.

Two for us:

1 - The obvious picture with the castle in the background.

2 - A picture with the full Tree of Life in it.

where is Winter/Summerland? Is that at Blizzard Beach?

Hi! I always tape a complete walk around World Showcase in Epcot. (I watch the video while I'm on the treadmill at home!!!) Last December I stood in the front of Epcot and taped the complete Christmas song list that plays while the arches light up. It was wonderful playing the tape back at home on Christmas! We also taped walking down Main Street while the 'snow' was falling during MVMCP!

At the Sir Mickey's shop in Fantasyland, just to the right after passing through the castle, there's a statue of Minnie, and she's holding her hand out. I always try to convince my wife to stand in the spot where it looks like Minnie is patting her on the head. Why do I do this? Because it's freakin' HILARIOUS to me and drives her CRAZY! :teeth:

In response to the other post, Winterland/Summerland is not in Blizzard Beach. It is the other miniature golf course. I say other, because the last time my sister and I went, we played miniature golf at Fantasia Gardens near the Swan/Dolphin. This time we hope to get in some miniature golf at Winterland/Summerland.
But, it is not that far from Blizzard Beach. According to the 2004 edition of "Birnbaum's Walt Disney World," it is "a mere stone's throw from Blizzard Beach." How ever far that may be.

Always have to have a picture in front of gate placque at HM for my DD the doombug!!! :scared1:

HI, my favorite picture site is the whole family standing in front of the castle. The last two years we have done this.;)

1) Love a picture w/the kids in front of the trolls in the gift shop in Norway.
2) Love a family picture at Teppanyaki on our last night in EPCOT.
