Whats your fav Margarita Recipe

I agree Mal .What a great thread.

Oooooh! a margarita thread..............that's almost as good as a tequila thread! Thanks for the recipes - I've never been able to make a good margarita though.

Always run out of tequila too fast. :rolleyes1

Love those mango margaritas in epcot's mexico.

Margaritas are my favorite! I like mine with a splash of Chambord....mmmmmm

No real recipe, Tequilla, Triple Sec (splash), Lime or margarita mix and a little Chambord- on the rocks, no salt please. :)

Great thread! It's noon somewhere, right? ;)

~Frozen Watermelon Margarita~

Not your classic Margarita....Cut away the watermelon rind, chop watermelon into 1" chunks and remove as many seeds as possible (leaving a few doesn't matter and adds an interesting flecked look). Put watermelon and it's juice into a freezer bag and freeze for at least 4 hours.

1 1/2 cups frozen watermelon
2 oz tequila
1/2 oz triple sec
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
2 tsp sugar

Break up frozen watermelon into small chuncks. Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with a slice of lime.

Makes 2 cocktails.

Wow...that sounds amazing. I'll be trying that one, but I have to figure out how to make mass quantities!

That beer margarita sounds interesting. I might try that next time we have some friends over. Thanks.

My favorite Margarita's are the Applebee's Perfect Margarita's. I have to see if they have those on that top secret site!

This is my 2nd favorite Margarita...my absolute fav is the one I get in Mexico and enjoy while walking around the rest of Epcot!!!

Golfgal, this is for you: (a friend of mine works at Applebee's and snagged the recipe for me) Enjoy!

1 1/4 oz Cuervo 1800
1/2 oz Cointreau
1/2 oz Grand Marnier
1/2 Simple Syrup
1 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
4 oz sweet n' sour mix
Fill shaker with ice, add ingredients, shake and serve!

Yeah, at first I thought my wife was crazy when she mentioned it (beer margarita???) but I tried it and it is very good. She likes it because you know how sometimes a drink can be too sweet? This recipe kind of tones down the sweetness.
If you try it let me know how you liked it. :)

bumping up so folks can plan their evening!! :goodvibes

I found this yummy margarita recipe

(1oz) MIDORI
(1 1/2oz) Tequila
(2oz) Sweet&Sour Mix
Method: Blend with crushed ice
Garnish: Lime slice

or a variation:

2 oz tequila
2 oz sweet and sour mix
2 oz melon liqueur
1 oz lime juice
