I was thinking of going here for dinner but I haven't read to many good reviews about this place. Should I stay away?

YES!!! Stay as far away as possible...

Of course, I only say that because after eating there I was sick for three days (not a fun way to start a Disney vacation). :faint:

Everybody seems to tear this place apart but we have NEVER had a problem here but then again we aren't real picky eaters. FYI- the margaritas are heavenly.

The place has terrible food. I get seafood all the time where I live and Captain Jacks can't campare. We couldn't finish our meal it was so bad. There are some that like the place but the majority hate it.

We like it. Usually we just get a table by the water and eat shrimp and drink for a couple hours. If you're looking for haute cuisine, this isn't the place to get it. But it does have a great decor/atmosphere.

We ate there for lunch last week and it was very good. No complaints, was very busy though. The crab cake melt was wonderful.

The margaritas are excellent, I agree. For a quick snack and a really nice view on a hot day, it is a nice spot. Great location! Just don't expect a lot more and you'll be okay.

When I first started going to Cap n Jacks more than 30 years ago now it was one of the best in WDW. However, if you want good food at DTD I'd give Portabello Yacht Club a try. Fulton's can be very good or very bad depending on the service. Maine :firefight
