What's the Worst Restaurant in all of WDW?

The kitchen at the villas has been known to turn out AWFUL food and many times the server is just plain missing, not to mention the unbussed tables... UGH... oh, chef, waiter, busboy... that's all me. :thumbsup2

In all honesty - If we're eating out and the food's edible the service is there to some degree and there are no bugs crawling around on the floor I'm happy to be in Disney :goodvibes

If you all want to experience bad food/service you have to pay for, please PM me and I'll send you my room number next time we're down there :rotfl:

This thread needs a poll.

Im so glad no one has named CRT - Im so nervous about those resies - of course I have several other ones that you all have mentioned so Im not feeling great about our choices.

H&V was bad 6 years ago - back when it was the hoocie - uh I mean hunchback theme - Ive kept my expectations low for our visit this year - but PHD - who cant bring their 4 year old to that!

Whipperwhirl, y'know, we had a great dinner at CRT! Now, this was before it was a character dinner, but I have good memories of food AND service. And the location...cannot be beat!

We did not enjoy cosmic rays - 4 yr.old granddaughter not picky but took one bite of hamburger and that was all. Looked liked mystery meat to us. Also will try somewhere else besides ABC Commissary next trip. Worst service-Whispering Canyon. Hostess was rude even though we had reservations. After inquiring twice, she told us it would be another 20 minutes and to please wait. We left without ever being able to eat as asking 4 year olds to wait for 45 minutes for a 5:00 p.m. reservation was not an option for us. Just our experience from last trip but there are many other places that we will try during our next visit.

so far for me, Kona Cafe, even though a ton of people love it! Just shows different taste....or replaced chefs and waitstaff...;)

PrrincessDEbs:wave2: We have never been to rose and crown, thats the fish and chip place right:rotfl2: sorry thats the only thing i could refrence to:confused3 .
I am not a big fish eater but like Deep fried fish, would the fish be worth trying? I live hhere in the NW we have Ivars and Sikppers here could it be compared to that? thanks

Ivars and Skippers are the McDonald's of fish. The fish n' chips at the UK pavilion is a "British fish n' chips". You will find the breading, texture, and presentation very different. I also understand it isn't as salty (unless you desire to salt it yourself) as most deep fried fish people have had.

I have had the fish and chips at Rose and Crown four times. I enjoyed it three out of the four. This past trip (last month) they seemed really greasy to me. This does not mean I have given up on R&C as DH really likes it and they do have other things on the menu. We've also had some of our best service at Rose & Crown.

I hate to be the first to do this ....but the one restaurant we recently went to, that we will not frequent for along time would be....Jiko.

I really wanted to go to Jiko, DH not so much. I really wanted to love Jiko, maybe too high of expectations. I must admit the cheese plate appie was wonderful....but our server was not helpful and barely friendly....the filet was not very good, and we had a table for two, squeezed tight between two other tables. DH and I could hardly hear each other talk. Our server flat out told us he was not able to recommend any dishes or any wine...he said "just close your eyes and point..and it will be wonderful" What's up with that especially in a signature restaurant?

I have heard so many great reviews about Jiko. Maybe we just hit it on a bad night. I would like to give it another shot...but DH said no way. Maybe in a few years??

Dopey and I would have to agree with you. We had a bad experience at Jiko too...the waiter was not nice the food wasn't great...we were expecting a great dining experience from this signature resturant...but guess again...

I actually LIKE Ivar's, and I actually LIKE McDonald's. But they are both fast food chains (just because it doesn't have a drive-through doesn't mean it isn't fast food.) If you're talking about the Ivar's restaurant on Lake Union or the waterfront (not the outside cafe but the inside sit-down), I agree those are not fast food and would demand a different comparison; but since you said "Skippers and Ivar's" in the same sentence, I assumed you meant the fast food version. ;)

There are a few things that should be noted....

1. I think that dining can vary from experience. It depends on your waiter/waitress. We could go to a restaurant one day at WDW and have a great time/service/food, and go again the next day and it could be horrible. Service can make or break a meal if it's a sit down. We've had it happen before...

2. One thing to also keep in mind....many restaurants are known for their particular meal. Meaning, I think Chef Mickeys has a great breakfast, but I would not eat dinner there. So, I wouldn't say Chef Mickeys is the worst restaurant....but it depends on the meal. Dinner? It's up there. Breakfast, IMO is great, though!

my most unfavorite are the ones that i either got sick from or could not eat the food because it was so bad.

the garden grill:sick:
english fish & chips at epcot:sick:
abc commisary:sad2: not good
the yachtsman's steakhouse :sad2: not good (twice)
pizza and sandwich shop down stairs at wl. :sad2: just really worthless food.

thats not very many considering how many restaurants i have eaten in at wdw.

there are so many that i love.:goodvibes
