Whats the farthest anyone drives to visit WDW?

We never saw one. Now, they want to go back again, just to see a moose!
I doubt we will see a moose crossing sign on the way to Fl., but maybe an alligator???

Lisa, Have a "safe trip."

I'm just afraid to fly! Otherwise I wouldn't be driving.
I'm stilll trying to figure out how I'm ever going to get to Italy....!

Some good friends of mine drove down to WDW with their SIX YOUNG KIDS from Lincoln, NE. It took them about 32 hours. They caravanned with 2 other families. It will be a while before they make that road trip again! LOL :p

We have gone to WDW more times than I can count. We have only flown 1 time and we are flying down next week. It takes us 18 hours and we do it in 2 days. Not too bad. Usually stop someplace in the southern end of Georgia. So the 2nd day is not too long. On the way home thought we always have to stop early because we are worn out.

We drive from Tierra del Fuego and it takes us six days! Ha! Beat that!

Just kidding of course. Just another boring Ohioan, but one who's never seriously considered driving that far.

N.W. Indiana to be exact. We have done this several times with our 4 children and enjoy it. The first couple of years we took 65 to 64 to 75. Very beautiful driving through the Smokies! However, after a severe snow/ice storm a few years ago that sent several travlers into the ditches and spinouts (we were very lucky not to be one of them) we have since changed our route. We now take 65 to 24 to 75 and still see the mountains but it isn't so trecherious. We leave our home after dinner around 6 and drive to southern ky. This year I am hoping to make it to Franklin (if anyone has ever stopped here please recommend a nice place to sleep) the next day up and on the road by 6 and with good weather and traffic arrive at hotel in sunny Florida by dinner time. We would much rather drive than fly because you can see so much more and don't have to rent a car. Total driving time about 18 hours.

Hi fellow Hoosier, what part of Northwest Indiana because that is where we are from. Small town about an hour north of Lafayette. Glad to hear from some other Hoosiers from the "region"

I admit I have mixed feelings about driving this time. It helps that we'll be at Hilton Head for 4 days before heading to OKW but I am so used to getting to Disney in a few hours that I think I may be a bit spoiled. I am trying to have a positive outlook though and since we drove to Hilton Head last year (and it was a beautiful drive) I don't think going a few more hours after several rest filled days will be so bad.

I'm really just looking forward to taking this vacation and know we'll have a wonderful time even though it will take us longer to get there but hey don't they say getting there is half the fun? :D
