N.W. Indiana to be exact. We have done this several times with our 4 children and enjoy it. The first couple of years we took 65 to 64 to 75. Very beautiful driving through the Smokies! However, after a severe snow/ice storm a few years ago that sent several travlers into the ditches and spinouts (we were very lucky not to be one of them) we have since changed our route. We now take 65 to 24 to 75 and still see the mountains but it isn't so trecherious. We leave our home after dinner around 6 and drive to southern ky. This year I am hoping to make it to Franklin (if anyone has ever stopped here please recommend a nice place to sleep) the next day up and on the road by 6 and with good weather and traffic arrive at hotel in sunny Florida by dinner time. We would much rather drive than fly because you can see so much more and don't have to rent a car. Total driving time about 18 hours.
