whats the chance of getting a reservation 2 weeks in advance at this time of year?

We arrive at Disney on 1/25 and we are all set with reservations until Feb 1st. But we decided that maybe it would be fun to add on one more night. What's the likely hood that we could get into a BCV or BWV studio this late in the game (I would need it for Feb 1st)???!! It's extra magic hours at Epcot on Friday so we would really love to stay at one of the Epcot DVC resorts to really make it worth the extra points we would need to spend!
Do they do waitlists this close to arrival? Anybody have luck with a waitlist coming through at the last minute??
I wish Member Services was open today, I'm so excited about potentially extending our vacation I can hardly stand it. Yes I know, there are much more important things in the world I should be focusing on right??!! but it's Disney and I can't help it

You won't know until you try, availability is always changing. But I would say BCV and BWV would probably be difficult to get.

I called MS friday for Jan. 25 & 26 in a studio at the BCV and the resort was sold out until Jan. 28, having a few rooms left after jan. 28th. the same was for the BWV. You can go on a waitlist if there is no available rooms but the waitlist stops 7 days before your arrival, that means you would no longer be on the waitlist and you would have to call MS everyday to check on any available rooms. If you know for sure you want to add on and you are not going to cancel once you get down there, i say start calling monday

You also stand a better chance since it is a Friday you are looking for. I was able to book a studio yesterday at BCV for Friday March 28 which is Easter week and I never thought it would be available. He also had BWV availability.

Be creative. Try every way possible if you're willing to pay:

various room types for points
DVC room w/ DVC cash discount


Call CRO:

cash rate using AP or AAA discount if you have them
you can cancel this one 6 days in advance if your DVC waitlist comes through


We just booked 3 weeks out & got 2 nights on points & 2 nights thru CRO w/ AP discount. We're hoping one of our waitlists will come through.

2 years ago I was able to get a BCV studio for a Thursday night at the beginning of Feb with about 1 weeks notice.
