What's the Best Thing You've Eaten at Disney?

Beaver Tail anyone?

Is this the same Beaver tail we have in Montreal? The fried dough with sugar and cinnamon? Didn't realize they have it in Disney if its the same one!

2- The fried dough with sugar and cinnamon?

3- Didn't realize they have it in Disney if its the same one!

1- Likely.
2- Yup.
3- They don't (anymore.)

They used to be served at an outdoor kiosk at Canada in Epcot.
But sadly, they stopped serving them at least half-a-decade ago.

Toss up between the fish dish I had at Le Cellier in January (gooseberry cod with asparagus and an amazing hollendaise), or the meal I had at Sanaa in October. It was the spicy tomato, cauliflower, mint in one bowl, basmati in the middle, and the spicy durban shrimp on the other bowl. And the naan with garlic pickles as an appetizer. YUM!

Goat Cheese ravioli at California Grill is a favorite that we never seem to tire of. Seems like we haven't been back for a while though....

Does F&W stuff count? If so there's a couple of things from there like the corn polenta from the spicy sausage dish from Canada, apple strudel from the germany booth, etc.

Year round? tough one... the filet mignon from Le Cellier and the creme brulee from there as well. The cheese soup is great also.

gotta love the Dole whip as well!

But one meal I always have to get (although it was closed this year :sad1: ) is the Tonosama platter from the Japan QS restaurant. That beef is sooo good as well as the teryaki chicken, rice and shirmp tempura.

Isn't that a permanent item (appetizer) at Le Cellier?

For me it's the cheddar soup at Le Cellier - with (just as importantly) pretzel bread to dip, of course.

Guinness Ribs and Gherr's Bread & Butter Pudding - both at Raglan Road in Downtown Disney.

French garlic bread at Portobello. Slow baked garlic bulbs cooked in the oven and spread on crispy white French batons with salty, creamy butter. Lush!!

We call these elephant ears in the states...same thing tho..most of our carnivals or fairs have them and I get them every year...love them!

When I dream about being in Disney (which is almost always), it often includes eating these...glazed almonds (and pecans)...so they qualify for me as the best thing I've ever eaten at Disney:

I've gotten them at a cart across from the Tiki Room in the Magic Kingdom, just outside The Land pavilion in Epcot, outside the Great Movie Ride in Hollywood Studios, and across from Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. :goodvibes

Lemon Tart from the Patisserie in France/EPCOT.

Oh yeah...I agree! :thumbsup2

And I may be in the minority, but I really like Disney's counter service food.

We call that Indian (as in Native American) Fry Bread with Cinnamon Sugar here. Fry Bread has a whole bunch of uses so they never gave it another name, but Elephand Ear is something I've seen, never realized that a Beaver Tail was that as well.

How in the world to choose!!! So here are a few... Mickey Bars (duh), Dole Whips (double duh, the BBQ chicken in the skillet at Whispering Canyon Cafe, Beignets at POFQ and the Shrimp tacos at La Hacienda de San Angel.

I think that's enough!

HOW COULD I FORGET??? CHURROS!! I haven't had Churros in 15 years and when I found them at Disney and Universal I had 2 at a time. I know I had them at least 4 times. They don't have them where I live. NOWHERE. SO I munched down on them at Disney. Nom Nom.

A Turkey leg while watching a parade, and an ice cream cone from Ghiardelli's. Yum!:cool1::cool1::cool1:
