What's over at the Boardwalk area now that Ample Hills is gone?

It would be nice to see it reopen. As you said, not my favorite, but always easy to get into.
I thought I had read that it was closed for good, but maybe that changed.
We made our only trip there last year. It was good. Didn't knock our socks off but it fit the space and feel well. It'll be a huge disappointment to have a vacancy there.

Here's hoping B&C comes back to save the day.

I was sad to see it close. My wife and I would go there on our Disney trips when we would have a Boardwalk night and get a brownie sundae to shares and sit on one of the benches and look out over the water, light house and rest of the Boardwalk. We'll have to check out B&C I think to keep that tradition going!

Vloggers were saying that Disney wasn't able to enforce social distancing due to the crowds at the window. No idea if that is true or not.
Ample Hills declared bankruptcy just before COVID, they were originally planning to restructure and keep this location, then COVID hit and they simply couldn't recover financially. It has nothing to do with social distancing.

I think the post you are quoting was referring to Beaches & Cream closing their walk-up window in December.

I don’t have an answer but I loved their ice cream! I was so excited they were putting a second location in Disney springs 😟
You can still order their ice cream online. It’s kinda expensive but it’s worth it.
