I googled to find out if removing part of the toenail hurts, and apparently the anaesthetic injection hurts a little, but you just feel like someone's tugging on your nail (WHICH I HATE SO MUCH) like legit I couldn't even take a blister plaster off once because it was tugging on my nail too much ): but almost everyone has said it hurts more to leave it there, so that's always good

none of us could lift our arms for weeks LMAO. we had to have 3. it was around this time last year we had our 3rd one... when we had the 2nd one, I had PE straight after and we were doing netball defending techniques and they shouted at us for not putting our arms up/putting them up enough :')

A local anesthetic will be used to numb the toe. Using special tools, the doctor will cut the nail down towards the cuticle (bottom of the nail). Then either the whole nail or part of the nail will be pulled off. A chemical may be put on the cuticle to prevent the nail that was removed from growing back.
