I love how my science teacher just e-mailed me back all happy, as if me getting a D on the exam was a good thing- "Cheers, Mrs. Teacher" I was like "You do know nobody in the US says cheers..." I wanted to email her back "OMGGGGGGGGGG <3333333 I DID SOOO WEEEEEEELLL! God Save the Queen, Sarah"

We watched the day after tomorrow after our science exam (i've seen this movie EVERY YEAR in science.) but I was thinking "why does it only focus on the USA?" Canada's already dead before us. So is Europe.

And then when the guy goes "evacuate everybody south of this line." and it was like virginia to california and below and I was like "YEAH I'D STILL BE ALIVE" and then they showed all the Americans jumping the border into Mexico and I was like "L-O-L tables are now turned."



:/ I've never gotten anything less than a 60 (which is still an F anyways...) on a test or a 57 on a quiz.



I'm actually kind of glad, now that I think about it, that our school systems are so strict with the grading scale. It makes us work harder and it definetly helps the USA look like they have the better grades, so I guess it's a smart move.

I don't know if it's because what we learn is harder or what. Maths is harder than what you get, because we learn everything at the same time (so no seperate lessons like algebra, trigonometry, etc.) and get tested on them all at the end of the year. We're also in for longer (only by about a month or so, but stay with me!). I much prefer our system to yours. I bet I would of been a high-school drop-out if I schooled in America...

I go to school longer than the average school. There is an average amount of hours that kids have to be in school and my school has gone above that to avoid many snow day make-ups. That's the reason I don't get out until the 24th. My school isn't exactly amazing, but I live in area where good colleges are so I'm bound to get into a good school

That makes sense. Your school system confuses the heck outta me, and I know ours is probably confusing to you guys.


You Know You're British When... Getting 40% in an exam mean you just passed it.

My School is from the end of August to the end of May and we get 3 snowdays

no make up days
if school is canceled because of snow you have to make it up on a non-protected teacher workday or sometimes on a non-protected holiday (like presidents day)
