Yeah I'm ok. We had a looooooooooooooooooong talk with Kevin last night and we feel a LOT better. Things are definitely going to get worked out now. :)

Nancy -- Welcome home Chris and Timmy! There is no way I would buy a dress for a child a year in advance. When Caili was a flowergirl, I bought the dress two months before the wedding, and I was still crossing my fingers hoping it would fit! I hope things improve.

Sheryl -- Thanks for the review!

Lindsay -- I am glad you feel better. Thanks for the index!!

Still not sure on dinner today...the kids have been asking for sesame chicken wings, so maybe that. I'll see what looks good at the store.

ETA: If you will notice, we have an index :cheer2: I am only up to page 27. I hope to get it completely updated today. Sorry I didn't keep one from the beginning. I figured our old thread would be back looooooong ago.

Thanks Lindsay!!!!!

I'm trying a new unhealthy recipe tonight that I saw Sandra Lee do last week. It's a decadent smothered chicken (the chicken is fried first) then submerged in gravy. I'm doing her version of cornbread stuffing with it. Can't wait!!

Morning everyone!

Lindsay - I'm glad you guys are getting things worked out. Hopefully, the tension will ease somewhat!

Lauren - Good luck with the fireplace! I can't wait to see the pictures!

Nancy - I would never buy such an important dress that far in advance!! Too many things can change in that time. When the twins were flower girls for my brother's wedding, we didn't even make the dresses for them until 2 weeks before the big day! Even then, we had to let the hems out a bit as they grew too much! Good luck with it all!!

Dinner tonight is Lauren's Braised pork chops! I'm so looking forward to them.

I just sat down to do my meal planning for the week, and realized that all the recipes that I've chosen for this coming week are from the WFD group! Thanks, ladies!!! You've made my cooking so much better!!!!!

Thanks Lindsay!!!!!

Was this the recipe that Reggie did with her? I love Reggie and wish he won the Next Food Network Star instead of Guy Fieri

Does anyone have a good marinade for salmon? We're getting tired of the teriyaki glaze I do all the time.

Becky, Yummy food as usual! Did you use Stephanie's recipe for the Vindaloo?

Nope, I made this one up based on a recipe I found on epicurious. I gave ot to Laura to test drive, we'll see if she likes it as much as me!

I am afraid that this is going to be a long year, what is fun and appropriate for a 30 YO is not as cute for a 50 YO. I am so not going to be happy in a cherry red bridesmaid dress :scared:

Urgh, this does not sound fun! It's crazy to buy a child a dress a full year in advance. Who knows if it will still fit??

Does anyone mind if I do a short rest. review here? I only have some pics, just of Raglan Road & Jiko. Not enough to do a "real" review, but I don't want to bore anyone that's not interested either.

Thanks for the Raglan Road review! Can't wait for Jiko.

Nothing. I don't feel well.

I hope you feel better!

Last night I made a pizza. I like to put lots of arugula on it, kind of like a salad. That way I can tell myself it is healthy.

Tonight I think I am just making an omelet or something. John has a business dinner so I am on my own.

Hey all. Doing well here--just busy, busy, busy. Last night was Chili's; tonight will be Chicken Enchiladas

Lindsay--saw that you have the index up and going! Thank you so much!

Afternoon Y'all,

I'm glad everyone enjoyed the RR review! I don't know if I'll get to Jiko today but I'll do it soon, I promise!

Kathy, That dish sounds decadent!

Lindsay, We all appreciate your work on the index, soo much!!! Thank You!!!:worship:

Janice, We were quite stuffed by the end of the evening! Luckily, the beer flight glasses were only 3 ounces each, otherwise I would have had to sit on Bob's lap & roll out of there!

Lauren, The fireplace remodel sounds downright scary! The bricks literally fell? OMG! I wish I could send Mario up there to handle that for you guys! I know he won't be busy at our house for a while, even though I've got lots more for him to do. We're out of funds for the time being & he's good but he sure ain't cheap!

Don't know what's for dinner yet. I need groceries, but I'm actually feeling quite nervous about going out shopping. I didn't tell y'all cus it's just so sad, but there was a murder in the parking lot at the little grocery less than 1/2 mile from my house on Saturday. Some low-life scum grabbed a 63 y.o. lady's purse and they drove off, pulling her and ran over her, killing her. This grocery is right across from A's school & our Church., I usually pick up groceries there several times a week. Very sad & scary.:sad1:

I thik I have the flu so I have no idea what to do about dinner. Maybe take out.

More snow in the forecast today, was thinking that I may just throw a pot roast in the crockpot and be done with it.

WFD at your house?

It is snowing hard here and I have a pot roast going as well. I have mine in a dutch oven and I did not use Glynis recipe because Kady cannot have any if I add teh Ranch dressing so it a "Nanatized" version of Glynis Famous roast.

That is what Marisa tried to tell her. We ordered her dress for Daniel's wedding eight weeks in advance and the seamstress was hoping that she would stay about the same. I am not going to stress this, Marisa will take her shopping and that will be the end of that.

She had a terrible first marriage and is hoping that she can get it annulled in time but because the church will not talk to her before that happens she is a tad bored, hence the online shopping. I think that she wants to get planning but is not really ready to begin for herself so the girls were the first line of shopping.

Me too! I loved Reggie!

What a sad thing to have happened . It is always terrible especially when an elderly person or a child is killed but so close to home is frightening!

I was never interested in RR until your review. Now I want to fit it in.....I think I'll be eating my way through Disney :rolleyes1

Lindsay- Thanks for getting the index started. It is a lot of work and I know we all appreciate your efforts. I do hope everything works out with Kevin and Robin.

Lauren- Better you than me! I take my hat off to you and Tom for doing the work yourself. Buddy did the bathroom years ago and we both agreed that it did not matter how long it took, how many jobs he worked, or how much it cost.......he would never tackle a home improvement job....again....ever.....never.....not ever!

Laura- If Caili's dress needed an adjustment you could fix it, I have forgotten how to sew and if she ordered the dress from David's online there is no seamstress we can use. Marisa will need to find one so this makes no sense.

Dinner is the pot roast and potatoes and carrots, green beans apple sauce and gravy. Marisa will have potatoes cooked separately ( the food cannot touch anything that the beef touched) and leftover chicken from yesterday. Salad on the side.

If any of out WFD friends are in FL and have lost power I am thinking of you.

WFD? I forgot to get the lemon when I was at the store so I'll have to try Kathy's salmon marinade another time. I found a recipe for Maple Salmon that looked kinda good.

Guess I'm out of the loop, why are there power outages?

ETA: Just went to a news site and found out why. It said there were outages from Daytona to the Keys. I'm in that area, but we still have power. We're close to the St. Lucie power plant so I guess that why we're ok. However, my A/C isn't working and it's 85° right now. Thank goodness there is a cold front coming through tomorrow.

We are having lemon spaghetti tonight. I'm need to use up the rottiserie chicken so I need to serve it too somehow.

It's the only night this week I'm home to cook.

Make sure that you rest, the flu is nasty so take care of yourself.

I heard that "much of Fl is out" due to power surge. My DH was watching the news, I really hope it is not as bad as it sounds.
I love maple glazed salmon. Yumm!

Aimee- I was going to make the lemon spaghetti yesterday, was drooling over the though but then looked at the recipe and saw Marisa ans Erica's points going through the roof! I know that I can adjust the recipe but I really did not want to, it looks too good the way it is.
