Rogue Here is Wendie's recipe from the old thread
The Hat's biscuits
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 TBS of baking powder
2 Tsp of sugar
1/2 Tsp of cream of tartar
1/4 Tsp of salt
1/2 cup of butter
1 cup of milk

Stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar and salt. Cut in the butter until it resembles course crumbs. Add milk and stir until mixed. Drop onto greased cookie sheet.(I use a big cereal spoon and just scoop a bunch of it up and drop it) Cook at 450 for 10-12 minutes....until golden....they are sooo good right out of the oven!!!

I am soo jealous Tractor supply:laughing: I think Buddy was trying to say he didn't think you needed to spend all day since you are beautiful to him :goodvibes

:lmao::lmao:Janice, my DH is not a "sensitive" man but he means well. HE used to have this old 78 pickup. He would not let the thing die. Each time it tried to give up the ghost he would pump tons of money into it getting it going (sort of) again. One time his brother confiscated it and kept it for a long time, went through it and fixed whatever he could to keep the old gal running. I was watching out the window when he got it back and the man was petting it :rotfl:. He said that there was nothing wrong with it, it was "almost new". I figured that if he could look at a banged up, beat up rusty 25 year old hunk of metal and see an almost new truck he would look at me and not see a 50 YO gal who is "cushy" but see an almost new gal. So I'll keep him and will sometimes feed him "normal" food.

Our plans changed tonight though. We delivered a load of firewood to my sons house and were going to head over to TSC but we got invited for dinner. HMMMMMM....dinner, sprinklers?, dinner, sprinklers? So dinner was steak, chicken and tuna on the grill, grilled zucchini and summer squash, potatoes grilled in their jackets and a big salad. DH said anytime he can get a meal on Dan is worth giving up a shopping trip :rotfl2:

We are supposed to be going out after church with my BIL. Let's see if that happens. No matter what, I have a night off.

WFD at your house?

What a a nice DH I have...he suggested we order pizza after all the cooking I did yesterday! I could not say no!:rotfl:

Everyone- thanks for all the well wishes for my parents, again!

Ann

WFD - Shrimp Monica, Spinach Salad and Cheesy Bread

Good Morning! We are having pork roast (I think I will sway from the cajun and do lots of garlic and onions and I am not sure what else. Maybe the Balsamic Potatoes and carrots. I know I will make the "baked" apples. The boys love them.

Laura greg and the kids came over yesterday for dinner. I made greg's favorite meal--we call it antipasto but it is really just a food gorge. Here are some pics.

Not sure on dinner yet. I want fish but I am so lazy and don't feel like going to the store.

If the rain holds out we are going to cook cheeseburgers outside.

Hey Everyone!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend..its been just gorgeous in my neck of the woods this weekend...
We grilled out Friday night with some friends, steak tips, chicken, potatoe salad cornbread...it was so yummy! Sat. night we went out to a Japanese steakhouse for Greg's brother's birthday..not my favorite dinner choice, but it was actually pretty good..I had crab legs with garlic butter ( so diet friendly right? hahah)
TONIGHT: A weight watchers bbq pork sandwich recipe with coleslaw...I have made it before and it was DELICIOUS..so hopefully I will get the same results again! Back on the WW wagon :)

I haven't heard an update on the love birds lately - are things mended between y'all? Is their wedding stilll a go?

Becky, it all looks amazing as always! What is in this chickpea salad? I see olives...could I have a recipe when you have a chance?

Thanks, Ann

I was going to ask for that one, too!

We are having pasta tonight. IF DH thinks there is enough leftovers from Macaroni Grill for us both, we will have that, salad, and breadsticks. If not, I will make the chicken parmasean and spaghetti to go with it.

Wow Becky! Everything looks great! I love the presentation for the meats...:thumbsup2 And BTW, you're baked pasta looks great too!

OH SURE. You ask for the chickpea recipe. My reputation for cooking prowess is coming to an end here.

Ready?

1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup purchased green olive tapenade
1 shallot, minced
a handful of parsely, chopped

Stir everything together. Eat.

I'm Sandra Lee! :rotfl:

Becky- YUMMMY! Your meals are always so pretty! Can you share the recipe for the cannelini bean salad?

Gina- would you post the BBQ pork recipe please?

Dinner tonight is American Chop Suey, made with whole wheat pasta and ground turkey. I also made a summer veggie soup, also CORE on WW. Tomorrow I go to the WW meeting and weigh in :scared1: Marisa told me that there is a place that does the best pedicure that she ever had near Kady's Sylvan and I would have gone while she is there but then I miss the meeting. I don;t want to bail out before I even go.;)

Hi all! It was a beautiful day today 70's I was going to go to Ikea but the yard called. So I cleaned up the back yard and deck. I even dusted and vaccumed the car out. I am tired.

I grilled chicken with some corn and rice. I know not the most nutrious but it tasted good.

Quick check in, making sure everyone is doing ok, and having a nice weekend so far.

Nancy--I just love the truck story!!!

Becky..errr I mean Sandra,;)--The meat flower is just crazy!! I love it!...I see nothing wrong with the baked pasta picture..yummmmy!

Supper tonight was boneless buffalo chicken bites, parm cous cous and onion carrots......Ross might be orange in the morning as he ate a ton of carrots!
