Afternoon friends---I wanted to check in and see how everyone's day is going. The meeting at school went all day, so I am behind on everything around here.
It was very rough, as we had photos shown to us, which is sooo hard. This child's living condition wasn't fit for sewer rats. We were able to get ahold of an aunt to take her, who after a social worker and background check passed with flying colors. The aunt was furious, and so upset with herself for never seeing what was happening. There will be counsling for all of them.
Thanks for letting me vent! This is one of those days where a glass of wine will be in order, and you try and remember all the training we have had to leave our work behind. (always easier said then done!!) It does make you hug your own a lot harder!!
I am really worried about Alexis, it isn't like Sheryl to not check in and let us know how things are going.
Count me in as another one with a crush on Mr. Ramsay...I love his temper...grrrrr, lol
Nancy--I am so glad that you were able to get placement in a nursing home close by, and with a family member working there as well. You my dear are an amazing person, as is Gail. What a lucky Aunt to have such wonderful neices in her corner. Please know that you all continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I was closer to lend a hand to you all through this transition.
Kathy--How did Sammie make out today? She was the first thing that Ross asked about when we headed home from school today! Give her a pat from us!!
oooo those "fake" chicken and dumplings look good and something that Ross would love to make. He loves to cook too. He will be a great roommate to have in college I swear!!
Lauren--Let us know how A makes out in the game tonight if it goes on!! Wish I was closer to sit with you and cheer him on!
I hope I didn't miss anyone. I am off to iron for tomorrow, swap laundry and make lunches for tomorrow as well. I will try to check back in later this evening. Have a good afternoon ladies.
