I think our country is going down the drain!! Yuck,,,,some people.
...
Then again, urine is sterile, so I don't personally really consider it to be a biohazard, not from a 5 year old. Not really.
But I'm one who objects to sanitizing parks, especially with chemicals that are in santizer products and clorox etc wipe things. I prefer biological stuff to chemicals anyday; the body has an immune system that can fight against biological problems, but can't do much against chemicals!
They should have taken it with them, though.
Obviously, the adults should have taken the child to the bathroom. It's a boy who peed in the bottle. Not a girl.
I don't know, I am actually not that bothered by having him pee in the bottle. After all, if the kid had to pee THAT bad, what's the likelihood he could have made it all the way out of the line and to a bathroom? So is it better to be surrounded and pee in a bottle, or pee all over himself and the parent carrying him quickly to the bathroom? I'm siding with the bottle-use over him peeing everywhere and on himself and a parent.
I AM bothered by them not taking it.

While it is true that the bladder is considered sterile, urine can still have contaminants or a child can have an infection. Actually he could have easily had e-coli, MRSA or VRE in his urine. Trust me,,, 5 yr olds CAN have these in their urine. I have seen a huge increase in MRSA in children. So yes I do think that this family made a poor decision,,, how fair is it that someone else will have to pick that up? What if a little one picked it up in line (believe me my kids picked up things when they were little) My kids are older and know better but I would be furious if I had a little one and someone left a bottle of urine behind for them to find!![]()

Personally, I would have made eye contact with the mom and commented on how disgusting it was to leave a bottle of her kid's urine in the queue. But I'm not afraid of conflict, lol.
to the OP
i would have said
"EXCUSE ME...your forgetting something!!!"
& pointed at the bottle with a "look"
& then if i was feeling like a "brat" I would have offered her some hand sanitizer...lol![]()
I'm with many others - if they would have thrown it away, all was well. And I think offering a wipey would be neighborly
And people think I'm crazy for putting potty breaks into our touring plans!!!!!
