We are currently booked at POR for 6 nights in October. The reason we are booked at POR is because DH and I fell in love with it last December. This trip is going to be for 4 adults and 3 kids (13, 12 and 11). We will be celebrating Great Grandma's 80th birthday. Great Grandma loved POP and I have explained to her that we are staying at a different resort this time with a more tone down atmosphere and beautiful gardens, which, I know she will love. Plus, the kids (me LOL) will be able to rent bikes and rent a boat on our off days. Of course, I have also considered staying at POP the first 3 nights and the switching to POR or CR
for the last 3 nights. Oh yeah, I just started considering the Contemporary too!!
Since, we are doing MNSSHP on friday and redoing MK on sunday I think it will be a breeze to just be able to walk there
. It will only be about $150 more per room to do this booking a garden room ( I will probably upgrade to Tower at check in , but, that's another story ). We have never stayed at the Contemporary and like everybody else I dreamed as a child to stay in the "Monorail Hotel" and I know Great Grandma will love it too!! I already read all the reviews of the Contemporary , I know about it's pros and cons and I'm fine with it. We have switched hotels before when the kids were 7 and 9 and now that the kids are older they can pack and unpack themselves ,so, I believe it will be a lot easier this time. Although, I didn't mind doing it before.
What would you do I my situation?? Stay put in POR or go thru the switch-a-roo??
