What Would You Do? Your MIL is buying you a plane ticket...

Wow Rora, what does your fiance do that he can take three weeks off work? Lucky duck. :lol
I hope your trip is a pleasant one. Make sure you tell her you're leaving on the 23rd well before you get there so she has time to get over it.
Then try to enjoy those four days with your fiance!

Glad I'm not the only one in this situation - my MIL just called yesterday to tell us she will be coming to visit this Friday! I hope she likes watching TV on our couch - we have things planned for Friday night, couple of hours on Saturday, all day Sunday, and most of Monday. She can come along to some of the events, but the Sunday and Monday parties are with my (large) side of the family and I think she'll feel awkward. My dh doesn't understand my annoyance with her sudden interest in visiting the weekend before Christmas - I guess she didn't think we'd have any plans??:confused3

Why wouldn't you just take her to your family parties? I guess I am odd in that there is always room for one more here.

mickey&arielsmom,

Please take her with you! Think of it this way: making her feel welcome is a gift you are giving your DH! :goodvibes

He is lucky!! :rotfl:He's in the police academy right now and is still working for his old company. He's been saving days for a looongggg time now!! :thumbsup2 Thanks so much for your advice!

Does the MIL know you bought your own return ticket yet? Should be an interesting conversation. Have a great trip.
