2026 MMB info Announced

Just as a data point. I have two memberships: one direct and one resale. I had MMB last year and bought the half price OTU points on my 2025 use year direct contract. Got MMB this year and bought the half price OTU points on my 2025 use year resale contract.
We were recently told (and verified with a "supervisor") that we couldn't get the bogo on our resale membership. This is so frustrating!

Just to be clear, is your resale grandfathered into being eligible for membership extras? Ours isn't.

lol that’s why we didn’t get it last year for 2.
Normally SO says I’m authorized for anything to the person and hands me the phone
He’s out of town for a week in Texas. I shall advocate for him to call next week when he’s back. Funny enough @tx911 this is room at the front of our trip, since we didn’t extend after the cruise he said to take the red eye going to FL and I’m getting a room for that night so I’m not miserable without a room til 4pm.

So I was thinking, if I am able to have my husband buy MMB on our membership that’s resale should that automatically allow OTUP since you aren’t supposed to be able to buy MMB when you aren’t eligible for extras right?

@AmishGuy91 did you buy MMB on your resale online or by phone? If by phone did you ask about OTUP first or about it being a resale membership?

These are interesting data points. What’s more interesting is that I called MS and did a separate chat with them and was told that my plan wouldn’t work. The response email seems to contradict that. I’m thinking the only way to reach a conclusive answer is for me to buy MMB and bonus OTUP in one membership and have my husband call and tell MS during the same call that he wants to purchase MMB and OTUP. If they tell him he can’t get the bonus points, then he doesn’t purchase MMB.

And @VGCgroupie - OTUP have to be purchased via a phone call with MS.

I bought MMB online a few days after it went on sale in December. When I called to buy the points two days ago I just told them I believed i had already purchased OTU for 2025 on my direct contract and wanted to buy them for 2025 on my resale contract. She confirmed I was correct and then proceeded to buy the points on my resale contract for 2025.

You don’t buy MMB on a membership.

You buy it as a person. So, both can purchase it and it’s attached to each of you.

And, each of you is entitled to the BOGO free points. You just have to each purchase them for a different membership.

Where it seems there may be inconsistency is that when some went to buy them for a membership they own that isn’t eligible for benefits, CMS said they could not.

I would not even mention resale if I was doing it.

Just buy MMB for each person and then have each person call and ask to buy them for a different membership.

If denied, then I’d escalate to a supervisor. I think when people mention “resale” on the phone, many CMs hear it and just say one can’t.

MORE FLEXIBILITY

Use your Points to purchase the Disney Sorcerer Pass to enjoy Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks. Get a new pass for 75 points or renew your pass for 65 points. To take advantage of this benefit, call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 after enrollment in Membership Magic Beyond.
I apologize if this was covered in the first 29 pages…can I used banked (direct) points for the Sorcerers Pass?

I wish there was a way to call a specific person in MS directly. Or maybe if they can't figure out how to properly train people on everything, try to have more specialized roles where you get transferred to someone who knows what they're doing.

Are they able to tell if you can get the bonus OTUP before you actually buy MMB? Or would they need to try it afterwards and see if it works? I feel like they wouldn't want to guarantee anything before you get MMB in case it didn't work. Although if they actually know what they're doing, they should know it will work.

Not sure. Or if I buy MMB and they say no will they refund MMB, unlikely.
