We've got room for two other meals, one of which I want to be a character meal. We've narrowed it down to:

Whispering Canyon
1900 Park Fare
Princess Storybook Lunch or Dinner
Le Cellier

Of these, we've only ever eaten at Le Cellier. It will be me, DH, DD 2, and DIL's.

Thanks in advance for your advice! :)

We did the Whispering Canyon and it was a hoot. The kids loved it. It is loud but the kids keep occupied. The food was pretty good too. Hope this helps.
Oh and dont forget to ask for ketsup. LOL

I would choose 1900 Park Faire for the character meal (Cindy, Prince Charming, Suzy, Perla and Fairy Godmother). I think your DD would enjoy it! WC is a lot of fun, but, I would choose Le Cellier as I think the food is amazing there.

We have dined at WHispering Canyon and Le Cellier, both of these being DH's favorites! It all depends I think on the atmosphere you are seeking if its a playful one that all will enjoy giggling about then WC but for a lovely atmosphere Le Cellier. Personally it all depends on what theme I think you wish your meal to have.

Have fun and enjoy!

You mentioned that you wanted one of them to be a character meal so out of Princess Storybook and 1900 Park Fare, I would choose 1900 Park Fare. As for the other 2 WC or Le Cellier. It depends on whether you want to have a quiet meal or a loud fun meal. Either of them is good IMO.

I've been to WC twice with my DD and we had a blast both times and the food was really good. It's a great place for a young child.

As much as I love Le Cellier, since you've done it I would try WCC this time. As for the character meals, I would definately go with 1900 Park Fare over the Princess Storybook one because you mentioned it would be either lunch or dinner in Norway which is "unique" Norweigan food. There have been many not so great reviews of the food here, breakfast seems safe for kids though.

I personally would rather not have a buffet. We have eaten at WCC and Le Cellier. If it was me, hands down Le Cellier! That place rocks! :thumbsup2

Park fare and LeCellier :thumbsup2 ... They are, in my opinion, the best of your choices.

Thanks so much for everyone's input! We were thinking WCC because we're staying at FW and thought it would be an easy choice to take the boat to WL on our day off from the parks. The decision between 1900 PF and PSD is what's I'm struggling with. I worry about the Norwegian food; DH thinks it sounds good. I just want my DD to experience face characters; last year we did Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. This morning she told me that she was Cinderella! princess:

Then I'd definately take her to 1900 Park Fare's dinner so she can actually see Cinderella if she is her favorite. PSD has a few princesses but never Cinderella.

1900 PF and WC if you are choosing for your DD and DIL.

Thanks to everyone who gave me their advice! We went ahead tonight and made ADR's for 1900 PF for dinner on our arrival day to get us in the Disney spirit :yay: (not that we won't already be). I was a little uneasy about the food at Akersus, plus this means we can spend more time looking for the other princesses throughout WS. We also chose lunch at WCC for our day off from the parks. I figure my DFIL will get a kick out of this because I'm not going to give him any of the hints about what might happen if he asks for ketchup or a straw :teeth:

I feel much better about our itinerary now. If only these next 48 days would hurry and get here...

Thanks again! :thanks:

Is Whispering Canyon the place where they bring you all the bottles of ketchup if you ask for ketchup?

Where is the place that they bring you that humungous coke if you ask for refills?

Great Choices. Don't forget to ride the monorail before or after your meal at PF it will really help the "mood".

Yes...WCC is the restaurant where the servers really "entertain" their guests with wild antics. We've never eaten there, but I've heard that it's a riot. I can't wait to see how my DFIL reacts. He's such a big goofball anyway :goodvibes I just can't decide if I should fill in my DMIL so she'll know what's going on, or leave her in the dark about it too so that she can be surprised! :ssst:

Yep, these are both Whispering Canyon antics- very fun!

Oh great, now I need to try to fit in another meal!!!

If you want a meal that is quiet and geared more towards adults, do Le Cellier. If you want something the kids will love, do Whispering Canyon. The DW and I don't have kids yet, but when we ate at Whispering Canyon, we were surrounded by other people's kids and they all had a great time. The food is also surprisingly good.
I'm afraid I can't advise you on the character breakfast since my favorite character meal is Donald's Restaurantasaurus (sp) in AK.
