Adventure Maiden Postponed?

I guess I can see the draw of being on an Inaugural cruise, but I have been cruising 45 years. The rule of thumb used to be not to sail on a new ship until it had been in service six months, and for a couple of months after a dry dock so bugs can be worked out. We sailed on the Sovereign of the Seas 8 months after it entered service and there were still some issues being worked out.

I am disappointed, but from a totally different perspective - we were expecting one of our favorite officers to be on the Destiny in March - but he said he was also going to be temporarily on the Adventure before the new posting. Therefore, unknown what his new schedule will be. Also recognize, anything else could have changed between when we saw him in the Summer and early next year, so we still could have missed him.

50% is great! I only received 20% when the Transatlantic was cancelled. Added my 10% PlaceHolder to make it 30%.

Still, not great news. . . . 🚢
I don’t think this time it is possible to combine with the placeholder:

‘The future cruise discount is not combinable with any other offers or discounts, and it cannot be combined with another future cruise discount.‘

This was in the middle of our previous plans, so now we have 4 extra days in Singapore at Singapore hotel rates. Changing our flights are almost $4000 extra, and the hotel we are staying t was a splurge at $500/nt. That would be an extra $2000 just for hotel--no meals, no entertainment. Still trying to figure out what to do.

Very much this. They can figure their contract will be X based on what it has been and then be told "We're putting you here to do Y for your next contract" so they really don't know 100% until they get those travel arrangements.

After reading the email it made be think of all those people who have booked flights, hotels, etc this has to be a real scramble for all those affected by this. Hopefully they are refundable or they are at least able to book something different and still have a great time.
Im one of those people

Thats great but there is no ship to sail on if everyone takes that advice. Ships cant sail for 6 months without passengers. We need the early passenger guinea pigs to take one for the team. And we should respect them for doing so. No salute them. For what they suffer through we gain.

I'm sorry for all of you that this affects negatively. I can only imagine what a bummer this is. :sad2: I hope you can make something positive out of it.
