What time would you do a character breakfast

Who knew I could have so many questions about one character breakfast? :confused3

We are wanting to do the Goofy's Kitchen breakfast while we are there - voucher through Costco/Disney travel. We get a free continental breakfast at our hotel, that I'm guessing would be pastries, juice, coffee.

So here are the two options I'm trying to decide between. Do an early character breakfast before park opening (which is at 9am) at around 7:15 and then go to the park from there. Or, do the free continental at our hotel early, go to the park for awhile and eat at Goofy's at around 11:30 making it our brunch/lunch meal. Which would you do? I like the idea of getting two meals for "free" that day, but if we did a later one, we'd actually have to leave the park...but my kids have never been able to ride the monorail (closed both times) so it would be like a ride for them.

A few more questions - 1) is 11:30 still considered breakfast as far as the voucher goes? 2) are there still lots of characters that late? 3) and do they replenish the food consistently?

Thank you so much for your help. I don't know what I did before I found this board!

At Goofy's it's brunch or dinner, so you're good with the vouchers so long as you go while it's still brunch. They close sometime around 1 or 2 in the afternoon anyway and reopen for dinner at 5.

My favorite time to go to Goofy's Kitchen is 11:30 or later. I've always seen plenty of characters at this time, and it tends to be a little less hectic than breakfast. Plus, like you, I want to be in the parks at opening. Check the hours first though; Goofy's closes earlier on weekdays during the off-season. I believe I've gone close to the closing time and still had good character interaction.

A couple of years back I had a breakfast vouchure that was honored at 12:00, and they do replenish the food often, so I would say the answers to your questions are Yes, Yes, and Yes.

Having brunch at 11:30 sounds like a great idea.
I might do the same for our Sept trip. My kids would love to ride the monorail to DTD, then the short walk to Goofy's would be easy.
Breakfast was pretty hectic last time.

I'd do the 11:30 time, head into the park early and then use that as the start of your afternoon break.

We always did the earliest PS, which I think was 7:15 at Goofy's Kitchen. Usually on our last day too, so that way if we didn't make it back to the gates before park opening, it was okay.

I will most likely do a late brunch around 11 or 11:30 as well when we go in Oct. I like the fact that it substitutes a meal I would have paid for (lunch) since we get the free breakfast at the hotel. And I think we would be too tired to make it over there early enough to be done before park opening on Friday or Saturday.

Going at 11:30 sounds like a great plan to me! You get to take advantage of early morning hours at DL and then have a hardy lunch. I'd probably be ready for a nap by then!!

Yeah for me I wouldn't want to do 11:30 am when the park opens so late in Oct already. That is still a good time to be catching rides, since you have to leave earlier to make sure and get there on time too.

We try to do really early or MUCH later, so that way we'd be ready for a break and not missing good ride times.

Thanks everybody. After all that, the only time they had for a party as large as ours was 10:20am. Oh well, the girls will love it and that's what this trip is about. We'll still have time to do MTTMM and take the monorail over for breakfast. Is allowing 20 mins from the monorail station in Tommorland over to Goofy's Kitchen enough time?
