Haven't been to Liberty Tree for lunch before, we always end up going for dinner. I've been dying to try the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake.

YAY!!! So happy you ate at LTT - it's one of our favorite lunches! I am shocked you didn't get the Freedom Pasta though, since I've been drooling over it publically for years. Maybe next time?

Ahhh - to be able to take a nap in Disney - that is the best! And OKW looks so relaxing!

Looks like you had a great weekend Kathy. Always good to see those kids!!

A few weeks ago we decided to get tickets for the Halloween Party on Oct. 6th. So we had to cancel an ADR & I was trying to find one in MK for that night. Could not get Plaza & did not want Tony's so I tried Liberty Tree Tavern & got one for 5:20. We have NEVER eaten there so I was thrilled to see your update.

Those glasses are so cute! So cool they gave them to you. Maybe I'll stick an anniversary pin on. JUST KIDDING!!

Too funny about Mark on Splash not wanting to get his hat wet!!!

All caught up again finally with you Kathy Lovely pictures of the newlyweds and you and Mark I have never stayed at OKW but may do so in the future as your pictures are convincing me more & more of how peaceful it looks there ( still that no elevator thing lingers in the back of my head so we'll see)

I haven't eaten at LTT in a long time but I used to always order what Mark did, seems appropriate with the whole theme, too bad about the stuffing It was always a favorite of mine Nice the way they gave you the Declaration of the Anniversary

thanks for the childhood memories there was a baseball battle of the brothers ( dear Dad & his brother my Uncle) all of us Brooklyn Born ( after the initial SHOCK of the Brooklyn Dodgers becoming the LA Dodgers...think no one ever got over that betrayal ! ) eventually moving to Queens NY...yeah you see where this is going Mets vs Yankees..you didn't want to be ANYWHERE near those 2 when there was a Subway Series.you better remember to wear the "right" shirt depending on which home you were visiting .. God I miss them FUN times

I had a DIS meet with Starr (WDisneyMom) on Friday after work. We had a lovely visit for almost an hour (at Starbucks).

Of course it was at Starbucks...

We were having lunch here

Love Liberty Tree, but I like the dinner better!

Mark and I shared the Martha Washington's Cake for dessert...or heaven on a plate:

But they don't offer that dessert at dinner... Hmmm... might just have to make this a lunch stop sometime soon. I'm a sucker for some chocolate cake and ice cream.

After our meal, our server presented us with one of the Liberty Tree Tavern glasses as well as a declaration that said

Cool!!! I've seen that a few times since our trip. I know it is just one of those "extra magic" things, but I'm kind of disappointed my mom and dad didn't get that when we went there for their anniversary dinner on our trip.

Up next, we head back to the MK. Will we be able to stick it out for the entire EMH's?

I hope so! That's what some nap time at the resort is for!

Why is it that I always look at pictures of delicious looking food right before my lunch hour? I'm not a fan of stuffing no matter where it comes from so I'd probably agree with Mark. How neat that you were honored with an anniversary gift from Liberty Tree.

I've been keeping up, but unable to respond. So, I just want to say, everything sounds amazing. (except the stuffing of course. ). Happy you got a dismeet in & got to see the Newlyweds. Although, you & Mark appear to be newly weds yourself with those huge smiles in t he photos. LOVE IT!!

We had kept away from LTT a few trips also, but enjoyed our dinner food this past trip. I've never done lunch there but am tempted looking at that chocolate cake. That was the one thing we were disappointed with for dinner. The dessert.

Looking forward to more updates.

What a great first day in the MK!

I am pretty much in a constant state of craving the fries at LTT. I don't know why, but they are pretty much my favorite fries ever. I am currently eating a dumb salmon/quinoa salad thing. I would so much rather be eating a LTT burger and fries!

I had planned on doing responses and another update tonight. However, we got some very unpleasant news today. Mark had a meeting with one of the bosses today. Because his sales are way under budget (not his fault...his top three customers the last ten years plus some minor ones have closed their stores), he will not be paid the rest of this year. After reflecting on what was said in the meeting, he feels that they want him to quit and if he doesn't, they will let him go at the end of the year (they did this to another gentleman in his 60's last year). To say the least, we are worried what lies ahead on top of my brother having a heart procedure this Wednesday.

I will try to do replies and an update tomorrow.

I extend my thoughts and prayers for your brother this Wednesday As to the situation with Mark , Fred & I have been through financial crisis since the end of Jan when I had my accident and the money coming in from me came to a screeching halt, I promise you, keep the faith things will work out We are coming out on top again and things will work for you, there is always a plan & a way
