What Time is the 4 o'clock Rain? -- Updates 11/2-4 -- Tim's surprise and Marco&Recap

I love the fact that you and Mark do not let any grass grow under your feet!! You covered a bunch of stuff!

Hey, I'm hungry too! Where's lunch??

Fun updates!!! Love the hats!
It is soooo much fun when you get the interaction with the characters! I love when they have the time to spend more time (especially when you are there without kids-hey, we love them too!).

Dumbo never had much of a line the days we were in MK either. Though, it was really hot the one day and then looked like it would rain another day when we were there. I couldn't get anyone interested in riding with me. :confused3 :sad1:

I will bet you are going to Harbor House or LTT for lunch!

You do no thrill rides at all? Is it a fear or just don't like them?
Prob a bit of both. I didn't go on them on my first trip when I was ten and haven't gone on any of them since then either. I slept on a bench under splash mountain while my dad conquered all three mountains in magic kingdom on my first trip lol.

Luvin the updates btw. I love Crystal Palace. We had lunch there it's awesome :) Luvin Eeyore's little tail dragging behind him and nice themed ears for the breakfast as well :)

The Jack Hat is cool.

What exactly is a Scotch egg? I think I would like to try it.
A scotch egg is basically a hard boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat and rolled in breadcrumbs and they're yummy :)

I always do the dumb thing and continue to fix my hair when it's super humid out. I attribute it to the fact that it's habit, but truthfully, it's just dumb, isn't it? :lmao:

Awwww! You guys look so cute in your Tigger and Eeyore ears!

Awesome that you were on the ride with Aladdin and Jasmine! I've seen it before, but never been the one on the ride also.

I have those ears you tried on! They'll make an appearance soon on my TR.

It's very difficult to take pictures in the area with Goofini and Donaldo. They all turn out so red.

You guys had a super productive morning at the Magic Kingdom. Mark should create itineraries for all of us. :rotfl:

Whew! You keep this TR moving! I love it!! And had a delightful morning catching up.

You two are just too cute! You both look like you had the best time!

Some random comments:

I'm super excited to try Be Our Guest in October. Happy to hear you enjoyed your meal (other than the sauce) - it doesn't always seem to get high marks in the food department. How would you compare the onion soup to the one in Chefs de France? I love that soup and will for sure be having that so was thinking I'd try the potato and leek soup at BoG but your soup looks pretty yummy. Should we ask to be seated in a certain area?

I didn't know they had temporary Tigger tattoos in DHS! Over by Muppets? Super cute!

I never think to do the Backstage Tour. Maybe I'll give it another whirl this trip.

I haven't eaten at Rose & Crown in a few years but you have me thinking it may be time to put it back into rotation!

Yes Kathy how was the onion soup at BOG ???? R & C has got to be added to our Free Diney Trip next year!!! I think I am going in December with the Grannies !! I think P & P is doing a Christmas Trip as I got a postcard from them with details unless they mean it for Escorts , but it said "and supervision" Think that was meant for me ??:rotfl2:

Ok, when I fall behind, I REALLY fall behind!!! :rotfl:

This looks like such a fun morning! I keep reminding myself that this was at a warm time of year. I have a gut feeling that our December trip will be a cold one again this year. I am hoping not so that we can do Splash... but I have a feeling.

Sorry I took a bit to get to responses. The newlyweds were in town this weekend and we went to the Museum of Science and Industry, Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse for lunch and then took Alisha for a ride so she could see our beaches on Lake Michigan and then we took her by where Mark spent the first five years of his life.

That's a fun morning, I love all the attractions and meets you did. You got lucky being there in August and walking on attractions like that, and having a short wait for HM. Great pictures of everything, and the hats were great too! :goodvibes

We really did have a fun morning. We were lucky that day...other days we had some waits, but we utilized our fastpasses and hit the major things early.

What a fun morning! I love that M&G area in Storybook Circus. It's so cute.

It really is...I'm glad I found out about it here on the DIS.

The people behind you in the hat picture look like they're about to have a "magical moment" while the ones behind Mark look like they're about to kill each other! LOL

Very good observation.

Good timing with the Splash FP!

It worked out great.

Awesome update Kathy!

Thanks, D.

I can't belive how much you were able to accomplish! And so many rides were walk on - that's cool.

We really timed everything really well that morning.

I love your picture with Minnie - it's so cute! Can't wait to see the PP pictures too.

It was a great meet with those ladies.

Ahhh... I say that to people in the standby line too... buh-bye... Shoulda got FPs. LOL I am not that mean about it (most of the time)... LOL

It amazes me that people would stand in a line like that...not me!

Hmmm... Where is lunch??? Is it at LTT? It's back there, ya know - and it's my favorite lunch spot!

D~

It could be. ;)

Another amazing update!

Thanks, Karin.

I just love that you have taken so many pics. You went on SO many rides - we didn't even achieve half of them. :scared1:

My husband often asks why I am taking so many pics since I have them all already more than likely. Well, silly man, I have to do my TR. We did get a lot of rides in this trip.

Always a good call. :thumbsup2

Love that show, but hate arriving just after one went in. It can be awfully loud in that holding area.

Thank you, double Dumbo!

One of the best decisions they have made recently.

I can only imagine Daisy trying to cross over all the roped queue areas trying to get to him... :scared1: :lmao:

It was hysterical.

Suckers!!!! :rolleyes1

Really...have you never heard of a fastpass/

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: Good observation!

Shannon did good on that one.

Wow, you guys did a great job covering the MK!

Thanks, Mark.

Love the fact that Daisy and Minnie were giving their boys the what-for.:rotfl2:

Mark, they were hysterical...we had so much fun with them.

This is a great picture! You look like you are having TOO much fun! Love it!

I was so happy to get on Splash Mountain as we had missed it the last two trips.

I do like the Goofy hat on Mark. You should have gotten it.

I think you are right...I should have.

Walk on Dumbo? Wow. Great character pics.

We've not had to wait for Dumbo since they added the second one. Thanks, we had fun with the characters.

And I love the pics at the beginning of Splash. Great update.

Thanks, MEK.

wow, love you where able to walk on to so many rides :worship: the hats are so cute, you should of bought them!

If I wore hats, I would have gotten the Dumbo hat. I've bought hats and they sit in my drawer.

we can't wait to have our time at AK with you guys!

We can't wait either.

have a great weekend and hopefully you can get some well deserved rest

Thanks, Lisa. The newlyweds were here so no rest for me this weekend.

Aw love the pic of Mark on Dumbo. It looks like he is just in his element loving life.

He is a Dumbo lover and has already told his daughter-in-law that he is riding with her next year as she has never been on it.

Great pic of you both with Minnie.

Thanks.

Great Splash pics. My favorite ride. Hang on to that hat Mark!!

Mark was NOT trying to hang on to his hat...he was trying not to get wet. :lmao::lmao:

Is it me or now that Dumbo is in the back of the park is the line just about non existent? I don't think I have ever seen a line now. :confused3

I agree, Pat. Since they moved it, added one and the play area, we have walked on every time.

Love the SM picture.

Thanks; it's a favorite of mine.

Looking forward to lunch.

I was too. ;)

I am ready to see the tangled bathrooms. Love the murals, can't wait to see the tile work. :lmao:

I imagine you will be taking a few pictures in there.

Hi Kathy Been sooo busy, I am just poppin' in to say Hi!!!!

Hi, Rosie.

This is just too freaky!! I just posted my MK day update and you could have inserted your photos in our timeline and done almost exactly the same things... (except Dumbo) .... :upsidedow

That is too funny; I went and read and responded to yours, and it was very close (except Dumbo and we didn't do COP).

That was good seeing you with a hat for a change.

I'll try them on once in awhile; I just don't buy them because they just sit in my drawer.

That Minnie and Daisy interaction was a hoot! I would have strongly encouraged Daisy to raise a fuss with Donald!! Funny stuff!!

Trust me, Mark was encouraging as best he could. :rotfl:

Hi Kathy! Fun update! Crazy that Dumbo was a walk-on. How cute that the girls were jealous of your ring- Daisy giving Donald the what for! :lmao: Cute pics of you two, as always!

Tammie, thank you. We had so much fun with Minnie and Daisy.

Mark has worn many great hats but that one is the finest of the finest, the crème de la crème, the icing on the cake, the pick of the litter, the oh never mind, you know what I mean... I love that hat. :lmao: (hmmm I wonder why).

Bob, I think I'll buy you the hat in December. :lmao::lmao:

I agree with you, Mark should have gotten that hat. :goofy:

Yes, I should have.

I love the fact that you and Mark do not let any grass grow under your feet!! You covered a bunch of stuff!

Life is too short...you have to go at it while you can. :)

Hey, I'm hungry too! Where's lunch??

Coming up very soon.

Mornin" Kathy , Just keeping up !!!

:flower3: love you, Rosie.

Fun updates!!! Love the hats!
It is soooo much fun when you get the interaction with the characters! I love when they have the time to spend more time (especially when you are there without kids-hey, we love them too!).

I agree, Linda. Us adults love our fun too.

Dumbo never had much of a line the days we were in MK either. Though, it was really hot the one day and then looked like it would rain another day when we were there. I couldn't get anyone interested in riding with me. :confused3 :sad1:

I really think it is the fact they have two and that play area.

I will bet you are going to Harbor House or LTT for lunch!

I bet you are right on one of them.

Prob a bit of both. I didn't go on them on my first trip when I was ten and haven't gone on any of them since then either. I slept on a bench under splash mountain while my dad conquered all three mountains in magic kingdom on my first trip lol.

Awww...I bet if you tried them, you would like them.

Luvin the updates btw. I love Crystal Palace. We had lunch there it's awesome :) Luvin Eeyore's little tail dragging behind him and nice themed ears for the breakfast as well :)

Crystal Palace is a must do for us each trip.

The Jack Hat is cool.

Thanks.

A scotch egg is basically a hard boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat and rolled in breadcrumbs and they're yummy :)

Summed up very well...thank you.

I always do the dumb thing and continue to fix my hair when it's super humid out. I attribute it to the fact that it's habit, but truthfully, it's just dumb, isn't it? :lmao:

It really is...we must stop caring what we look like with that humidity!

Awwww! You guys look so cute in your Tigger and Eeyore ears!

Thank you. :goodvibes

Awesome that you were on the ride with Aladdin and Jasmine! I've seen it before, but never been the one on the ride also.

We've seen it before too...but first time they were on with us.

I have those ears you tried on! They'll make an appearance soon on my TR.

I'll be watching for them.

It's very difficult to take pictures in the area with Goofini and Donaldo. They all turn out so red.

The coloring in there is not good at all.

You guys had a super productive morning at the Magic Kingdom. Mark should create itineraries for all of us. :rotfl:

I'll tell him you said so...he'd get a kick out of that.

Whew! You keep this TR moving! I love it!! And had a delightful morning catching up.

Christine, I try to do two updates a week with work, plus I have a PTR to get started.

You two are just too cute! You both look like you had the best time!

Thank you.

I have enjoyed all three of my meals there. I do have to give the edge to the onion soup to Chefs, but not by a lot. I don't know if you can ask what room to be in. If you can put in the request, I really like the West Wing.

I didn't know they had temporary Tigger tattoos in DHS! Over by Muppets? Super cute!

Yes, they have them by Muppets and by Rock & Roll Roller Coaster.

I never think to do the Backstage Tour. Maybe I'll give it another whirl this trip.

You might want to before it disappears.

I haven't eaten at Rose & Crown in a few years but you have me thinking it may be time to put it back into rotation!

Christine, it is definitely back to the top of our list!

Rosie, I can't keep up with all of your different trips. I really enjoyed the onion soup at BOG! Love Rose & Crown.

Ok, when I fall behind, I REALLY fall behind!!! :rotfl:

Hey, you know where to go while you are waiting for that school bus.

This looks like such a fun morning! I keep reminding myself that this was at a warm time of year. I have a gut feeling that our December trip will be a cold one again this year. I am hoping not so that we can do Splash... but I have a feeling.

No No No. It is going to be 75-80 just like it was last December when we went. I insist on it.

I enjoyed hanging out in Magic Kingdom through your pictures tonight. I really like the Storybook Circus area. It is always fun to get characters in new/unique outfits. The tent is a great place to shop for kids. The Dumbo stuff is so cute!

I'm glad you got to have some fun family time this weekend. That was cool that you went back and visited a 'babyhood' house. I'd like to take Jill and Trent inside the house we were in when they were born. (We were in this house by the time Drew came along.) It was sooo small! They have seen it from the outside, but I would love to go inside again.

Finally catching up after a long weekend trip to the mountains with my parents. Looks like a wonderful day at the MK!

Jill in CO

Before I get to the update, we had a busy weekend.

I had a DIS meet with Starr (WDisneyMom) on Friday after work. We had a lovely visit for almost an hour (at Starbucks). And, as we all know, if there isn't a picture, it didn't happen:

Then the newlyweds came in on Saturday for a fundraiser for a friend's nephew who is very ill. We had pizza with them before they left for the fundraiser, and then today we went to Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry and then to Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse for lunch and then a ride through the neighborhood where Markie lived the first five years of his life before we moved to our house.

So when I left you, we had done a lot of rides in the morning and it was time now for our lunch ADR.

We were having lunch here:

We hadn't eaten here since 2008 and Mark really wanted to go back so we did.

We asked our server to take a photo of us before we got our food this time:

The cute glasses are drinks came in:

We ordered the Tavern Fried Cheese for our appetizer:

Mark had the Pilgrim's Feast. He enjoyed this except for the stuffing which he said was awful:

I went with the Angus Chuck Cheeseburger":

It wasn't as good as Plaza, but it was a good burger and the fries were good

Mark and I shared the Martha Washington's Cake for dessert...or heaven on a plate:

After our meal, our server presented us with one of the Liberty Tree Tavern glasses as well as a declaration that said:

Hear ye Hear ye, Let it be known on this
magical day in August, in the year
Two thousand thirteen
we are honored to have you enjoy
The hospitality of
Liberty Tree Tavern
on your Anniversary.

It was very sweet of them, and we had a great meal and we will be back.

After lunch, we wanted to go back to the resort for a swim/rest as we had plans to go back to the MK that evening for EMH's.

Mark had to make a bio-break stop when we got to the TTC and I took a picture of the gate as I just love it:

We were back at OKW in no time and I took a few pictures of the view from the patio after Mark laid down to take a short nap:

Up next, we head back to the MK. Will we be able to stick it out for the entire EMH's?

I enjoyed hanging out in Magic Kingdom through your pictures tonight. I really like the Storybook Circus area. It is always fun to get characters in new/unique outfits. The tent is a great place to shop for kids. The Dumbo stuff is so cute!

MeMom, I agree. It's a great area (love that splash area....I seriously thought of going in it because it was so hot). And the gift shop is terrific.

Mark said he'd go see if his key would work; I thought it better that we not get arrested. The whole area has changed so much...they did a lot of work on many of the houses in the area.

Finally catching up after a long weekend trip to the mountains with my parents. Looks like a wonderful day at the MK!

Jill in CO

Hope you had a great time in the mountains with your parents. It was a wonderful morning/early afternoon at the MK.

You've changed so many times, why not? :rotfl::rotfl:

ENABLER!!! :rotfl2:

What a GREAT day at MK! We have only been to LTT once and we did really enjoy it.... I don't know why I never think to go back...maybe on our next trip!

Where is that meet and greet in New Fantasyland! I MUST DO IT!! :hyper:

The view from your room at OKW looks almost identical to ours! I wonder if your room is directly about the one we stayed in?

Wow, finally all caught up!!! Only took a few hours, and I skipped most of the banter!!!! :scared1:

As usual Mark did a great job with all the hats!!! I especially liked the Goofy hat picture!!!

I need to get back to CP for breakfast sometime! It is one of my favorites for the food AND the character interactions. :goodvibes

Your scallops looked wonderful! Never been to Rose and Crown (other than the fish and chips at the CS) but you have certainly helped me move it up the list!

You guys put up with some really long lines at times, but I know August can be that way quite often. But a walk on for Dumbo??? :woohoo:

Mark's meal looks so yummy! I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but that cake does look like it was tasty. And how sweet of them to do that for your anniversary.

That view from your patio is absolutely gorgeous!

The cake did look like heaven on a plate!

Nice peaceful photos from your balcony.

Awesome DisMeet! I will be heading down to MSI when the Disney Archives arrive! I think we should plan a big DisMeet for that. :thumbsup2
