Just for a change of pace, it's night time here on this demented island and it's 70. I'm off now so let the rains begin oy vey.

It's 2:00p and 81 degrees! T-storms are in the area not raining her yet



Well I don't smell any smoke today I think that's because the winds today are from the SW not the NW. All weekend it's been smokey around here, we have been getting the smoke from the wildfires in Cananda.

It's 2PM and 85 degrees in NY. Expecting some strong thunderstorms soon

We are heading to San Diego next weekend, and I'm looking forward to exploring some of the beaches. We're staying in La Jolla and planning a day on Coronado Island. Weather in the high 70s/low 80s would be nice!

Aww...La Jolla, I am there often, it is BEAUTIFUL! My DS lives in La Jolla! You will love it! I live in North County about 30-40 minutes north of there (depending on traffic).
CORONADO ISLAND ... fabulous!!

We are having what is called June Gloom, where we have this marine layer in the early a.m. and then by 9am it burns off and BRIGHT SUN the rest of the day. You will love the weather.

Will you be doing LEGOLAND ... it has a BRAND NEW water park that JUST OPENED this weekend!!! Then of course there is the beautiful wonderful San Diego Zoo!!!

We did get some rain, not sure how much no t-storms here. Just had light showers for a hour or so.

Now it's 4:33p and 72 degrees, cooled off too!

No, I think Carter needs to be a little older to really enjoy Legoland. He just turned 21 months, and from everything I've read, Legoland is best enjoyed by 4-8 year olds. We visited the San Diego Zoo a few years ago. Well, Carter hasn't been there, but we've taken him to the Phoenix Zoo and Reid Park Zoo in Tucson, so we're kind of "zooed-out" right now.

I think my husband and I will take Carter to the aquarium in La Jolla and to see the seals at Children's Pool. Carter's mom and dad can relax on the beach while gramma and grampa have fun with him!

Anybody got any rain to send our way? Help put out the wildfires we have going on. Since the last snow fall back in April, we haven't really gotten any rain here. At least the winds have died down.

Still a little hazy from the smoke. Some high clouds but overall a nice day. I think we totally skipped Spring here and went straight to summer.

My twit a$% son just spoke about his date for an hour.... Good mommy I aught to be I sat there and listened So here I sit 3:28am, eyes burning and a fan blowing on me. I can't say it's sunny lol but it is 71. Anyone else still sitting up.... no?? don't blame ya.

HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYONE!!!

I think my husband and I will take Carter to the aquarium in La Jolla and to see the seals at Children's Pool. Carter's mom and dad can relax on the beach while gramma and grampa have fun with him!

luv, I have been there twice now in the last week and it looks to me like the seals all come up on the beach more in the afternoon ... in the morning they basically stay in the water ... so keep that in mind. Here are a few pics of the La Jolla coastline and the seals.
