What time is it now and how's the weather in your neck of the woods, Part 3

Here we go again!

It's 10:32a and already 89 degrees, feels like 92!

Yesterday our high was 98:sad2:

Our city, Duluth, MN, is currently under a state of emergency. We've gotten 9 inches of rain since yesterday. Basements are filling with water. Streets are washed away. Neighborhoods have been evacuated. Sink holes have swallowed cars.

The zoo near our home was flooded when the culverts for the creek running through it were blocked with debris - early this morning a polar bear and seal were missing. They found the seal on the street outside of the zoo. The polar bear was found, sedated, and brought to safety. Other animals in the petting zoo area have drowned.

Forecasts say we could get another 5 inches, and we're under flash flood warnings until 10:30pm tonight.

From the Duluth News Tribune:

Wish there was a way you could send that rain our way to help put out our fires and relieve the drought. We had another fire breakout yesterday. This one about 10 miles or so from my house. 6th. fire in our state this year. Out of the 6 fires, 3 are still burning. One fire has burned close to 300K acres. One other has burned over 200 homes and structures. Amazing how one side of the country is totally engulfed in water, while the other is dry as a bone. I agree with Pooh and the others, stay safe over there.

Supposed to be a little cooler today. Our high yesterday was 95. Other parts of our state were 100+. Supposed to be in the high 80's here today.

9:15 am and it's currently 76.

It's 11:20a and 90 degrees:confused3

Now I like hot but really for up here it's not nice!!

GOOD FRIDAY MORNING Weather DISer's!!! :cool1:

First of all to answer your questions on CARSLAND :car:………..

 IT IS AMAZING. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLY AMAZING. EVERY SINGLE THING ABOUT CARSLAND IS FABULOUS. If you have NOT seen the movie, please to those coming this summer, rent it and watch it before stepping one foot in CARSLAND … because once you see the movie and walk into CARSLAND you absolutely feel like you are IN the movie. DISNEY HAS DONE AMAZING WITH THIS PARK.

I am a little leery of fast rides so Brett went on RSR using the 'single rider line' … HE LITERALLY COULD NOT TALK!!! He said it is BY FAR THE BESTEST THEME PARK RIDE EVER. And we have been to thousands of theme parks!!!!!!!!!! AND he said I could do it so I plan to!!!!!!!!

We are off to the east coast today … WASHINGTON DC for 10 days!!! :goodvibes Appears the east is dealing with some INTENSE heat. :headache: Yikes. So CALI has been 5 degrees cooler than USUAL. And of course we have no humidity and DC does … :scared: DH has conferences and meetings so I am tagging along. We plan to do allot of sightseeing despite the heat! ::yes::

10:30am in SoCALI bright sun .. 72 degrees. :flower3:

STAY COOL EVERYONE DEALING WITH THE HEAT!!!

Have fun in DC, it has been grazy here.......very hot and HUMID! We have been warmer then down in Florida these past few days. They say by sunday it will be better, less humid:thumbsup2

It's 1:51p and 94 degrees here again today, we are in a heat wave!!!

YOU HAVE TO RIDE THE RADIATOR SPRINGS RACERS!!!! I am also not a fan of fast rides, but I was determined to ride RSR and I LOVED it! The ride has so much going for it! The special effects are amazing and the beginning of the ride is slow. :)

We're back from Disneyland and I agree with you, Momrek06, Cars Land is fantastic! Carter LOVED everything there, and I know he believes he stepped into the real home of Lightning McQueen and Mater. He rode RSR (four times!) and loved it! He also got to ride Mater's Junkyard Jamboree (three times) and Luigi's Flying Tires. Being not quite four years old and taking things literally, when he got off the Tire ride, he informed me that, "The tires don't fly, Grandma. They stay on the ground." :)

Here are a few pics of Carter with Lightning McQueen and Mater. As soon as I find the time, I'm going to post a trip report over on the Disneyland forum.

All of us had the best time at Disneyland, and the weather was great. Every day started off overcast, but by mid-morning the sun came out and the temps were in the high 70s. It was nice to get away from the hundred degree temps in Tucson!

Glad you had a great time, luvflorida! Those pictures are great!!

It's 3:12p and 70 degrees, what a difference a week makes. Had t-storms all morning, sun trying to come out now.

The weather here: HOT! HOT! HOT! That about covers it!:headache: The past few days have been in the 100s. Here is the forecast for the next few days:
Today- 107
Saturday- 108
Sunday- 107
Monday- 103

I like warm weather, but when it's too hot to enjoy my backyard, I DON'T like it! We have to wait until the sun goes down in the evening before we can cook-out and enjoy being outside. The good thing, though, is that even with such high temps, the evenings are usually nice. And when I see what other people are dealing with (fires, flooding) I really have no right to complain.:sad2:

Hope everyone stays safe and can find time to relax and enjoy the weekend and upcoming Fourth of July holiday!:yay:

Thanks, nhpooh! We had a wonderful time!

It's been up and down here, one day or two it's 90's the next few it's 60's. :confused3I wish it would just make up it's mind, 80's would be nice for a while...

It's 1:53p and 80 degrees, and getting very humid again. They say 90's for today, tomorrow too!

It's hot, humid, and 94 degrees here in northeastern Ohio!!!

It's that humidity that will do you in!:headache:

Here I am complaining about temps in the 100s in Arizona, when that's normal for here. I was just reading about the high temps on the East Coast and in the Mid-West and things seem much worse than here.

I grew up in the Mid-Atlantic area and New England, and I remember how miserable it could be when the temperatures reached the 90s. Central air conditioning in houses in New England is not the norm. At least in Arizona every place is air conditioned, so it's easy to escape the heat.

Hope you guys get some relief from the heat soon!

It's 105 degrees in northeastern South Carolina.:scared1:

I'll be glad when this heat wave is over. I hope my central air holds up for the next three to four days.

HOT, HUMID, MISERABLE. It's 104 in this part of North Carolina (just west of Charlotte) and is supposed to be like that for the next few days. We're heading to Myrtle Beach tomorrow where it's only supposed to be 93.:sunny:

Me too but, it's supposed to be in the upper 80's and mid to low 90's for at least the next week. Yuck! The worst part about it is being dressed for work and going from the house to the car and you've perspired buckets by the time you get there!

98 degrees today in NJ..
I can't complain,,feel sorry for my mid atlantic friends
WOW oh WOW did they have storm and lost power and I believe 12 lives..
so Sad

It's about 86 and the rain finally went away and the sunshine is shining so bright! Yay :thumbsup2

There's a lot of power outages in SC this morning due to an intense strom. Mine was out until about 3 am. Today's high only 98, tomorrow's high only 94, guess I'll need to break out the parkas and gloves for tomorrow!:rotfl:

It was 104 degrees the last time I checked around 6:45. Mid Georgia.

All these high temps are crazy! And it's even crazier that Arizona's temps for the next few days are going to be lower than normal.

Right now it is 9:15am and it's a gorgeous day. The sun is shining, there is a light breeze and it's 83 degrees with a heat index of 83. Humidity is practicially unheard of around here. I think the humidity index for today is 36%. A humidity index of 50% would be considered high for this area.

That's the good news. The 100+ temps are due to return by the end of the week. We'll still see days in the 100s into September.:upsidedow

I hope the heat and high temps break soon for everyone suffering in the Mid-Atlantc region, Midwest, and anywhere else that is dealing with heat and loss of power.

It's 1:02p and 83 degrees, very nice outside today! Low humidity and sunny!
