What should we see at the AK Resort ??

We're going to Boma for dinner the Saturday night we arrive (5:30pm resv.) - thought we would take some time and tour around the resort. What are things we should not miss?

If there is something really great that begins at a certain time, we can move our dinner time also.

Walk out and look at the savannahs. Normally you should see a few animals. There are usually CMs there to assist you. There is also a savannah overlook on your left before the check in desk.

Look at the cermonial mask in the lobby. (On the left just past the check in desk) A man actually wears this thing and it is HUGE!

Check out the gift shop. It has neat things.

There is African art throughtout the resort. Also, an indoor and outdoor firepit. There is a story teller at the outdoor firepit every evening (5:30 pm when we were there). When we were there it was a young college student from Africa (don't remember which country) who shared African folklore and told us about his life.

We stayed there in Nov and it was great walking aound outside and watching the animals. The castmembers that were out there to answer questions were from Africa.Just very nice areas to walk around.
The gift shop is very nice. We enjoyed it espeically since they had different things than the usual gift shops.
